greatestnameever 49 Posted December 30, 2014 I'm doing a lot of prep for my sleeving on Jan 26, but one of the things I'm most excited about is being able to define my style in a new way when I do lose the weight. A lot of options will be open to me since I'll be able to choose more on what I really like rather than what just fits. So, to motivate myself, I'm making a list of things I can't wait to wear. For example: - my grandfather was an avid cruiser who spent a lot of time in Asia. This resulted in a number of custom-made suits and tuxedos in every imaginable color and style. My favorites are an old-school tuxedo, an old Harris tweed, and a red linen tuxedo jacket. I'm going to rock the eff out of both when I fit into them. - I found my old Brownie and Girl Scout sashes. I want to make a dress using the sashes as ornament (they don't fit right now). - Every outfit worn in the film Troop Beverly Hills. What about you??
Elode 8,093 Posted December 30, 2014 I want to wear a nice short (not hoochie short but short) dress. I NEVER show my legs! No dresses no shorts nothing! I have thick muscle legs I want thinner legs for that reason!
Elode 8,093 Posted December 30, 2014 Oh and maybe one of those cute Jump suits, cat suits whatever you call them...but classy for my DIL's baby shower in 3 months! Game on!
VSGAnn2014 12,992 Posted December 30, 2014 Outfits designed around Girl Scout and Brownie sashes, huh? Let's just say I've gone a different direction. I posted about it recently at: http://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/327908-age-appropriate/?p=3705667 In fact, that whole thread is a good one.
