MamaTo3inNH 100 Posted December 29, 2014 I found individual servings of guacamole!! Does this seem like an ok good for pre-op/stage two?
WildGrits 101 Posted January 4, 2015 As long as the onions and tomatoes are smooth it shouldn't be a problem. I'm assuming that Stage two is soft food?
Countrygrrl 450 Posted January 4, 2015 Hmm I was told that pre op guacamole was a no. It was a fruit not a veggie. I always forget it's a fruit!
MamaTo3inNH 100 Posted January 4, 2015 Oh shoot yes it's a fruit!! LOL!! Stage two pre op is soft stuff that will go through a fine mesh strainer.
Mildredperez 2 Posted January 7, 2015 I'm actually in my pre-op diet and in my instructions were to substitute two meals with a Protein Shake and have 1 Lean Meal a day. Ex: Lean Cut of meat-beef, chicken, pork, grilled or broiled fish, low fat or fat free cheese and cottage cheese and non-starchy vegetables -broccolli, green Beans
MamaTo3inNH 100 Posted January 7, 2015 I have a message in to the NUT. I'm laying in bed STARVING. Seriously my belly is growling so loudly the dog moved away from me (he lays with his head on my side lol)... This is crazy.
Countrygrrl 450 Posted January 7, 2015 I have a message in to the NUT. I'm laying in bed STARVING. Seriously my belly is growling so loudly the dog moved away from me (he lays with his head on my side lol)... This is crazy.I had the bed time hunger in pre op and was told some non fat Greek yogurt was ok so I would cut up. Tons of veggies. Cucumbers, carrots and celery ect and get a dry package of the ranch dressing mix mix it to taste with then Fage non fat and munch munch munch. The other thing was sugar free fudgecixles
MamaTo3inNH 100 Posted January 7, 2015 I can't have veggies I can have yogurt, and sugar free Popsicles and pudding Hopefully this NUT gives me the ok for some food. Hell, even if it is just a few bites of chicken breast a day I'll save it and eat it before bed so I don't wake up starving.
MamaTo3inNH 100 Posted January 7, 2015 Talked to my NUT. This is a strict diet basically eating what you will be eating for 2-3 months post Op. No meats, veggies, or fruits unless puréed baby food style. No added sugars and low fat:
