nightingale2u 42 Posted October 21, 2004 Hiya Betty... So glad that your surgery is all over with! You have a lot of folks here that are here for you if you need us during your recovery. One big happy banded family we are! Darcy
DeLarla 22 Posted October 21, 2004 I came here to see if there's any info on Betty's band... has anyone talked to her? Gosh, she should be all banded by now - far out!
LisaMG 5 Posted October 21, 2004 I don't know how I missed this entire post. Betty congratulations and welcome to bandland! I'm so glad your doing good. Already up and about like a good girl!
PamRN 0 Posted October 22, 2004 Excellant news that everything went well Betty. I'm very happy for you. I was tired the first couple of days, but made myself get up and walk. The more you walk the less gas pain you're likely to feel. I walked so much I was exhausted, but didn't get any gas pain at all. Welcome to bandland!! Iluvmyboys 1 Posted October 24, 2004 Betty, So glad you are banded! Each day get's better as far as being tired goes. I had the shoulder pain also (left shoulder). I didn't realize it was the gas they filled me with! It took about 5-6 days for it to go away for good. Drink as much Water as you can and feel better soon! Best of Luck,
Iluvharleys 15 Posted October 24, 2004 I agree, each day gets better. I am doing lots of both, walking and drinking.

Iluvharleys 15 Posted October 25, 2004 Thanks Teresa! I am doing better each day. I am looking forward to Thursday though when I go to the doctor and get something else to eat. I am getting tired of the same stuff everyday, and once in a while, I actually hear my stomach growling. I guess that means I am healing huh? lol
blossom 2 Posted October 26, 2004 Hi, Betty! Glad to see you are doing so well! Are you back at work yet?
Iluvharleys 15 Posted October 26, 2004 Hi Blossom, Yes, I went back Monday, but didn't stay the whole day, and today I only stayed till noon. I don't want to push myself too much. If I start feeling week, or something I tell them I have to go. Next week will be a lot better I think.
PamRN 0 Posted October 28, 2004 Betty, sometimes my stomach growling is so loud anyone within 10 feet of me can hear it! I think there's either a thread, or a thread hijack discussion of this with some of us, it seems to be something we all noticed after banding... I can live with it considering the advantages of my band... but it is a bit of an embarrassment at times.. like when DH says incredulously, "what the hell was that?"
