sld010 2 Posted December 29, 2014 I had my sleeve on 12/2/14. Just curious how others are doing that had it around the same time. Are you having cravings? Are you able to eat? How are your fluids going? How much weight have you lost so far?
oweemytoe 43 Posted December 30, 2014 I am 3.5 weeks out from a RNY. I have no appetite and have had many complications. I have cravings for things like cucumbers and hummus or raw apples but no cravings for sweets at all. I just started soft pureed foods on 12/22/2014 and will be in this stage for another 6 weeks before I can even try solids. I get the majority of my fluids from Protein shakes, Water and Crystal light and am able to get about 60 -65 oz in a day. I have lost almost 30 pounds so far. newjules 1 Posted January 6, 2015 I had my rny on 12/02/14. No complications perfect recuperation. I have no idea what dumping feels like. So far I have lost 35lbs including what I lost on my 3 weeks Optifast diet. 3 weeks after surgery I started my pureed diet and it went really well , but I started trying all kinds of foods and would just chew really really well. Nothing makes me sick! Nothing at all, but I have stopped losing weight, haven't lost 1 lb in the past two weeks I'm getting very stressed out. I'm happy I don't get sick but I kinda wish I would so It would force me follow the diet better. I still don't eat Pasta, rice, bread, and I eat very small portions but still the scale doesn't move

Go figure. I crave all kinds of foods. I don't like lettuce or crab but I am craving both of those. I'm going to have crab cakes tomorrow for lunch. Well a few bites of one any ways.. SueWVA 2 Posted January 7, 2015 I am 4 weeks out from my Dec 9 surgery and have lost 28 pounds. No complications and I finally found a Protein isolate that I can tolerate. I am eating a lot of Greek yogurt, tuna, chicken and hummus. Only problem I am having is major fatigue. Is anyone else experiencing this? Just walking around the office makes me exhausted and I'm in bed by 9 every night.

Most if not all of us have some sort of addiction to food. I went to a meeting and found it very helpful. Another good tool to aid in the process.
