loriemoms 101 Posted December 29, 2014 Has anyone experimented with this yet? You basically take plan greek yogurt a packet of steevia and a half scoop of a Protein Powder. Mix and freeze...It sounds delish..
BeagleLover 1,020 Posted December 29, 2014 I haven't tried this, but it sounds good! There are Protein ice cream recipes in the blog, "The World According to Eggface." Have fun!
Gingerisgreat 56 Posted December 29, 2014 I may have to try this as well. I did try freezing a little of a strawberry frozen yogurt as someone had told me that it does help you to get in some of your Protein, and since it is frozen its impossible to eat it too fast so it helps you with learning the timing that is new to post ops. I bought these little containers that are made just for making homemade ice cream and froyo, and I made one little tub. It came out to be SOOOOO hard that I can't even get a spoon into it. I was curious if it needs to be thinned with a little milk before freezing?
BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted December 29, 2014 I do it without the stevia. For added Protein you can also mix in a ½tbsp of nut butter
loriemoms 101 Posted December 29, 2014 I was thinking of putting it through my ninja and make it light and airy before freezing..think that might work?
BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted December 29, 2014 I was thinking of putting it through my ninja and make it light and airy before freezing..think that might work? It liquefies it. I use fage0% which is pretty thick to begin with but once it's blended in the nutra bullet it doesn't go back to that thickness.
