I really enjoy dark chocolate. I buy the 70% cocoa German chocolate from Aldi's. They come in .8 oz bars which is just the right size and less than 100 calories.

OMG! Complete Cookies from Lenny & Larrys. Here's the nutritional info: This delicious Vegan cookie has no preservatives, no dairy products, no animal products, 16 grams of Protein, 6 grams of Fiber, 0 grams of trans fat, is Kosher and all natural.

I got the Peanut Butter one from Vitamin Shoppe. It is a very large cookie and is 2 servings at 180 calories each serving. So, I cut the cookie into quarters and eat a quarter a day at lunch time. OMG! They taste homemade!

They don't specifically list their ingredients on the website. I don't trust products that don't provide ingredients list. Usually a product that claims to be all natural uses stevia to sweeten. While stevia is a natural product I am allergic to it.

ETA: I emailed the company. They do list the ingredients and best of all they don't use stevia! The ingredients look similar to some of the vegan Protein powders I've used in the past. I may give this a try.

I like a Jello fluff made with a box of sugar free Jello, 1 Cup cottage cheese, a carton of cool whip folded in when it is cool. Since I am at goal I do add a can of mandarin oranges to orange jello or pineapple in lime jello. Using the fruit in its own juice of course. Simple and Quick.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
