mommyoftwogirls 75 Posted February 10, 2015 When I got home from the hospital I only did a little broth, boullion cubes, or green Decaf tea. I couldn't do Isopure because they tasted terrible to me. I could not consume a lot at all. I was also sick to my stomach and it sometimes hurt to eat.Sugar free popsicles was what I sucked on the most because after one or two bites of broth I was full or did not feel good. That was the first week. Second week was Tomato Soup with potein powder in it. Split pea Soup organic with Protein Powder and pureed. Ate some Tomato did sugar free popsicles tea and very little split pea. Third week coffee with sugar free fat free flavored Creamer, stevia, and Protein powder in it for Breakfast. Water and I made soup with tofu cabbage onions fat free low sodium beef broth mushrooms and Korean hot red paste to make it spicey. Basically doing a lot of Soups. At night I drink chamomile tea to relax. I also used to be a sweet lover. It was my daughters 8th birthday and I took a bite of her birthday cake and was sick to my stomach. It was too sweet. Also lots of different smells make me sick. I get full very quickly and am learning to try and stop before the bowling ball hits my stomach. I've only lost 9 I don't understand.can you tell me what you're eating.
dar81 22 Posted February 13, 2015 (edited) ????????my overall experienceSo surgery was a success! Not thrilled with St. Barnabas at all, nurses amazing actually hospital seems cluttered and a bit u organized. ????While in OR they were strapping me down, talking, looking and complaining about how rooms were not set up properly and missing what they needed. I've had many surgeries and usually get to OR and switch tables get a quick ok what's ur name verification, and then the anesthesiologist usually will tell me to start counting and I go to sleep then wake up and recovery. This time I must've sat there for over 20 minutes while they look for items got me set up and my anxiety was out of control. After or recovery section they brought me to my room and I was so very nauseous and a we entered room I was so outta it I thought it smelt like cigarettes and they parked my bed and I almost puked. Rang for nurse in a daze crying cause gagging was causing stomach pain ( unnecessary ) to get me outa room someone was definitely smoking. They came in they took me out of room said she was in the bathroom smoking with her boyfriend. As I overheard him tell her they already told her the day before no smoking. Needless to say this was approximately 4 PM in the afternoon so they knew the room smelt like cigarettes and was dirty and still attempted to put me in there like I was an idiot and that is so unsanitary. That's away and hallway for 30 to 40 minutes for a new room. Pain meds made me dry heave and more sick so I stuck to only nausea meds. That medicine made it even worse I asked for them to call the doctor to see what else could be done and they were able to bring me back to the OR and give me two more tap blocks in my stomach to numb it. It's now a week later and I saw my doctor Wednesday and he said alls well incision is swollen bruised and that I need to rest but all went well with surgery. Into puréed foods and it's only week two and Wednesday I can start regular if I still don't have pain while eating. Just pain from actual surgery. Have to go back in three weeks sooner if incision or back worsens or if swelling and incision pain gets worse. So far I am doing well with the adjustments but the one incision in right the stomach actually came out of still hurts a whole lot, but I'm also full time mommy and have been busy with my baby and other kids, cooking, cleaning, homework etc. I guess if I was a couch potato for a week I'd be 100% but I can't ???? life is good and I am officially down 26 pounds!! ???? dar81 22 Posted February 18, 2015 @@downsizingdiva I just called the office again and he actually got right on the phone with me I explained again the pain under the main incision and how there's like a golf ball size lump can't bend still have really bad back pain unable to sleep besides on my back and that's barely happening and he explained the pain can last up to four weeks try to take it easy hot compresses which I'm going to put my mind at ease but at the same time it's still really really hurts I just wish it wasn't this bad. How long ago was your surgery and how are you doing how was your pain your recovery what stage of eating are you at too many questions don't answer just asking because I feel like I wasn't expecting it to be this rough like I said had appendix out while bladder 11 surgeries including those cysts wisdom teeth next surgery for spinal fusion and I was never in this much pain

MisforMimi 760 Posted March 19, 2015 How its everyone??? Hey there! I'm team 1/15/15 and in doing great! My weight loss seems slower than most but I'm not racing to the finish line. I'm taking the scenic route lol. I'm walking most days and I'm looking to start some body weight training at home. I had some jalapenos for dinner tonight. My pouch was not a fan. Ugh. I'm tolerating most foods fairly, though. You????
