Joy889 11 Posted December 26, 2014 Hello fellow sleevers... do anyone ever feel like her stomach is stretching out I am still on my liquid phase but sometimes I feel as though I drink too many liquids and I am stretching my stomach back out does anyone ever feel like this or have this problem please let me know. Midtown girl 44 Posted December 26, 2014 I was told that the stretchy part of the stomach was removed. What we have left is made of muscle which is much tougher and harder to stretch. It may be that the inflammation in your tummy is subsiding. Just follow the protocol and you will be successful.
BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted December 26, 2014 it's also possible because you are still in the liquid phase. Liquids will go through you faster. That feeling should subside once you transition to purees or soft foods.
Elode 8,093 Posted December 26, 2014 @@Joy889 Liquids shouldn't stretch out your stomach, they go right through.
CanyonBaby 1,852 Posted December 26, 2014 I wonder if you are bloated...I know if I drink a milk or milk-based beverage, I bloat. Feels terrible, so I tend to stay away from it. It does subside, but takes some time. Good luck!
Joy889 11 Posted December 26, 2014 I know @@"Elode" but when I drink my liquids I feel like I'm drinking too much at a time even though I try my best not to and monitor my ounces per hr
BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted December 26, 2014 Why does it feel like you are drinking too much?
Joy889 11 Posted December 26, 2014 @@BLERDgirl because I feel so for every time that I drink I feel that I'm about to stretch out my stomach or something like I feel that I have too many ounces of Water that i drink in one sitting even though I try my best to monitor that. Even though my stomach feels at its compacity about 30 minutes or so later I still drink more water because I'm trying to get in all of my ounces by the end of the day
kikicoates78 220 Posted December 26, 2014 Drinking isn't going to hurt u unless it's bad drinking with too many calories or carbonation.
BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted December 26, 2014 Relax. It's Water. It's gonna run through you. It doesn't sit in your stomach because it doesn't need to be broken down and digested.
Joy889 11 Posted December 26, 2014 Yes but its not just water...it's Protein Shakes and Soups as well... But I guess I'm over thinking even though I've already had the surgery I still just get scared sometimes like something will go wrong...this is still so new to me... What's wrong No idea. Have you talked to your doctor? It may be the food is not soft enough. Are you doing purees or soft foods?
