ut-tenuis 1 Posted December 28, 2014 I was hardly able to sleep the night before. I was very excited/nervous. The most helpful thing I had was my wife just happened to have Chapstick on her, and it was a lifesaver. I was so dried out and desperate for Water by the morning after the surgery, and the Chapstick was so helpful to make it through the night.
jphilp 7 Posted December 28, 2014 Glad to hear all went well! I get sleeved tomorrow at 7:30 am =/ nervous as heck! @@Big_Mama I ended up bringing a tablet, robe, toothbrush, and toothpaste. Beaumont would not let me take gas-X strips so those stayed in my wife's purse. The one thing that came in very handy was the sugar free NICE lozenges that one of the nurses gave me. It wasn't clear that after the surgery I was not allowed any liquids until they did the leak test the next morning. No liquids made for a very dry mouth and throat.
