bobbyswife 862 Posted December 24, 2014 6 days post op today and so far I've had a great experience. I'm already 1/2 a lb. less than my Dr's one month goal for me and I'm learning how to manage life as a sleeved person. It's a whole new routine with different "rules" and totally different internal feelings. Almost no pain now other than the occasional gas discomfort and I'm up and around almost at 100%. I still get worn out after being up a while, but if I sit down for about 30 minutes I feel refreshed. Everyone who said keeping up with hydration, Proteins and Vitamins is a full time job wasn't lying, but it's worth it!

pinkbunies 359 Posted December 25, 2014 Let me say ... it only gets better. Wait til you get frustrated because clothes don't fit. Wait til all of your friends start making comments about how much weight you have lost. It's coming. Be ready for it. Congrats on getting the sleeve. I am certain you will be happy with the decision you made. Welcome to the club.

pinkbunies 359 Posted December 25, 2014 Yeah and dont be a dummy like me. Its over the counter and I bought the Wal mart brand and its about half the price. I thought I needed a prescription for the acid reducer. It helps big time.
VSGAnn2014 12,992 Posted December 25, 2014 FYI, some of us required a stronger acid-reducer, like Protonix, which is Rx only. Congrats, @bobbyswife. Sounds like you have this figured out. Just do one day at a time what you gotta do.
