fab_not_fat 7 Posted December 24, 2014 I'm feeling as if I am 3 months post op. When I am actually only 8 days...I'm a little sore at times, but able to get around good, although I do get a little tired. Went into my 1st post-op appt with my doctor and he cannot believe how great I am looking and doing! I am only 19, so maybe my age has something to do with a speedy recovery...but it worries me a little. I have no problem getting liquids down at all, I read on here people who are not interested in food...I am, I enjoy my Soup and feel as if I'm almost doing "too good" I hate to say that, as I see people struggling...but my paranoid side, I almost think something went wrong!!! Why am I feeling so good, when I just had major surgery and I have read all over that I would likely be down for weeks. Not really sure what to think. I have also noticed how much more emotional I am after the surgery. I cry at things much easier and seem to get irritated easily...not sure if that's due to the survey and if anyone else has experienced that, or am I just being a teenager? Lol. For everyone struggling...keep going! We all have the same goal in mind and we can all get there! Keep up the good work and keep pushing!!!

Jessiegirl30 149 Posted December 24, 2014 I felt good after surgery as well , apart from being tired , I had no pain whatsoever , so I guess everyone recovers differently so be happy and take it easy :-)?
CanyonBaby 1,852 Posted December 24, 2014 I felt good, as well, and still do albeit a little tired from time to time. Also emotional from time to time, but that's natural. You've been through a lot, physically and emotionally, for lest we forget we just parted with part of our body-a part that has comforted us for years (some of us more than others!!!). I think we may even be grieving for that lost "friend". I am happy for you and for all that did this for themselves - Merry Christmas to us!
BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted December 24, 2014 I felt fine from day one and so far I haven't had any difficulty with foods. It took longer to drink at first, but was never not able to drink. The only thing that has changed is the desired to over eat. Enjoy feeling good.
