What are you eating? Are you drinking your Water? How about exercise? Apparently stalls are fairly common. If you are doing everything you should, just keep at it. Once your body accepts this as the new norm, things will start t move again. In the mean time stay off the scale and look for non scale victories. What can you do now you couldn't do 7 weeks ago?

I'm not eating very much 2 oz 3 times a day I'm not sure how much Water maybe not enough how many Oz should I be? I do alot of walking but I should probably start working out. How much Protein should I be drinking? The Protein Shakes make me so sick I'm drinking 1 Isopure a day 40 plus what I get from my food

I am three days past 5 months and the scale has not moved in 5 days...not one ounce, but clothes are fitting different. Stay patient... Calories in vs calories out.... equals loss..there is no other way. Watch waters..I have started eating salty foods (never used a salt shaker before) and my feet and legs started holding a lot of Water

You should be getting a minimum of 60 grams of protein and 64 ounces of Fluid. It's recommended that you keep a food diary at least for the first year. If that's not your thing you should at least have a mental tally of you protein and water intake. 7 weeks out you should be getting most of your protein from food. What are you eating? Are you watching your "white carbs" like rice, Pasta & refined sugars? I typically do one shake a day plus 2 meals. In addition to walking I do water aerobics at least 3 times a week.

You should probably have to eat more to lose more. If you body thinks that it's starving, it will fight back. My surgeon encouraged me to eat more (of healthy food of course) when I was about 5 weeks out and it worked.

I agree with the above posts. It seems your intake might be part of the problem. Your body needs Protein and Water. Min of 64 Fluid oz per day. That's a stretch but ys a goal you can work towards. My dr said 2-3oz for a meal and that would be substance food like soft cooked veggies ECt. Not Soup. It's time to progress foward. An learn the new body you have. Take one step at a time. You have loads of support here to walk along with you in this journey.

I am 1 month out. Still can't get my Protein and Water in. I have a lot of air in my stomach and belching all day long. Can't eat. So uncomfortable. Any suggestions?

Walk more, move around. You need to get that air out. If it continues call your doctor.

The problem is I have a bad hip and my house is only 1 floor so I go from living room to kitchen to do dishes and a little laundry. I tried to take a Mylanta and made me nauseated. I told NUT and he said WALK. Thanks for the reply.

Do you have a gym nearby? Walking in a pool might be easier on your hip. If not Google exercises you can do sitting.

Nearest gym is about 40 minutes away but I will look into other options.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
