James Marusek 5,244 Posted December 22, 2014 Hang in there, things will get better. I had RNY surgery 19 months ago and it was difficult at the beginning. It took me 6 months to get to my happy state.
LindaGsjourney 3 Posted December 22, 2014 I am also five days out. Surgery was in Dec. 17. I had a bad day on Thursday but I know we can do this. It is hard but will be worth it! My husband keeps telling me I have to be positive! I think it's normal to be down though.
SeptemberSlimmer1960 53 Posted December 22, 2014 LindaGsjourney, I was sleeved 12/17. I'm struggling to get enough of everything in. It's like there's not enough room! Hopefully the feeling of being cold now, the cranky, out-of-sorts feelings, gas and all will pass soon. I wish I could find a variety pack Protein sampler, though! Sigh! Rant over . . . for now. LindaGsjourney 3 Posted December 22, 2014 I know I don't get all the Water and Protein in. I do the best I can. Have you tied the GNC lean shakes? They taste decent to me and have 25 grams of protein. Also, gas x has been a lifesaver!
LindaGsjourney 3 Posted December 22, 2014 Also at GNC they will let you sample before you buy the Protein Shakes. My favorite is banana cream.
bellabloom 2,467 Posted December 22, 2014 My nutritionist said not to worry if you can't get it all in. It's something to shoot for but it takes time. It shouldn't be uncomfortable. In the beginning just 2 tblsp of liquid per hour is all I could do.
