fab_not_fat 7 Posted December 22, 2014 Just got Gastric Sleeve Surgery on the 12/15/14 and about 4 days post-op I began to notice my thighs were numb. I could scratch my leg and not feel the actual scratching feeling on my leg, only felt pressure that something was touching it. Then during my night of sleep I had a shooting pain in my leg, cramping and it was very sharp, painful. I would have about 2 of these episodes during sleep, then I would wake up and walk for a while and massage my theighs to relieve pain. The shooting pains during night have seemed to stop, but my legs still have a slight tingle/numb feeling. Wondering if anyone has had any issues like this either! Any comments/recommendations are welcome

Elode 8,093 Posted December 22, 2014 (edited) @@fab_not_fat Yep! You need to call your physician and let them know. It could be a multitude Of things. It sounds like a circulatory issue but could be a deficiency in potassium or magnesium, Dehydration, or something more serious. You need to let the DR know They may want you to get checked out. Don't wait around on these kinds of things. Keep us updated. Edited December 22, 2014 by Elode
sjidaho 30 Posted December 31, 2014 Did they find out what it was? I'm having the same thing. I just called my surgeon and waiting for him to call me back.
ashleyclarke44 2 Posted January 12, 2015 A close friend of mine had this and actually lost the ability to walk a couple months after her WLS. it was a Vitamin B deficiency that she let get out of hand. I would call your Dr ASAP
jess9395 5,449 Posted January 12, 2015 I had that! My Vitamin level tests were all normal, they sent me to a neurologist who did tons of tests... Finally went away after about six months and they never did figure out what it was! But a B12 deficiency is the most common cause
