How soon after surgery could you drink normally.

I'm thirsty all the time so I'm just curious when I can drink not sip. Banded 3 weeks ago.

Don't know as every person and their stomach is different . But, theres nothing wrong with just sipping all day. . As long as your getting your liquid in, just keep sipping and then see what happens when you drink a little more. I still can't drink anything cold in the AM, it will come right back up. But I have no problems in the PM with cold stuff. Good luck !

I am 5 months post op and still don't drink like I did preop. I can certainly drink more than 2 weeks out but I can't chug or take big gulps of Water.< /p>

I am a little over 7 months out and I am almost at my pre-surgery drinking level. Since surgery I would rather drink cool Water no ice verses ice-water. The real cold water aggravates my tummy makes me feel a little achy.
