meefox 0 Posted December 19, 2014 (edited) Hello - so far my recovery has gone really well. I've been more sleepy this week but I think that diving back into work and life is the explanation for that. I have a long, long ways to go and would love to connect with some other folks who are in the same spot on this journey. I have my next class on Monday and I'll get to advance to more food choices. Which is good. I'm not necessarily having cravings or experiencing hunger, it just seems to get boring eating cottage cheese, drinking Protein Shakes, pudding, hummus, etc. I'm excited to have real food and I think those first few swallows might be kind of terrifying. We'll see! So far I haven't had any naseau or dumping and I'm hoping this is a good sign of things to come. Trying to be patient, continuing to heal, and just looking forward to what the next year will bring. This is my first post so I'm not sure what all will show up but here's my basic stats. SW 329, GW 165 (that seems so far away!). Looking forward to getting to know more folks on here! Happy holidays, Maureen Edited December 19, 2014 by meefox
maggie0210 117 Posted December 19, 2014 Maureen, I'm not in the same spot, but I was a year ago on December 5th. You are going to go through so many changes, all for the better. I have gone from a size 26 to a size 6. Seem to have leveled off. Hope the best for you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
MrsAnnieMac 1 Posted December 20, 2014 I was December 3rd and was also feeling really good, then really tired. Although feeling good led me to do more things which could be the reason I got tired I just moved on to the puréed foods but have mostly been chewing really small bites with Soup or gravy and that's going really well. I haven't been nauseous either, which is awesome. The only problems I have so far are taking so many pills, which I can take whole fine, but have to be cut for absorption and when cut they catch in my throat, cold hands and feet (I know it's winter and my hormones will take care of this eventually) and I got thrush in my mouth, but the medicine the doctor gave me is helping a lot. So far so good! I'm down 31 lbs since October 25 so I am feeling great My SW was 255 and my goal weight (which seems super unrealistic) is 121.

meefox 0 Posted December 21, 2014 Mrsanniemac - so many of the same things going on. I feel like I'm dragging the last few days and I, too, am freezing all the time! Tomorrow is my big day to add more foods. I'll also weigh-in. I'm anxious to see where I am. My scale stops at 299 lbs. I'm so excited that it will soon register me again ???? I love having someone who is in the same spot to check in with! I'll update tomorrow.
