New Drivers License Pic

Recommended Posts

I went today and got a new drivers license with a new picture. I compared the old with the new. I look like I'm 22 again. I have no double chin. My blue eyes just poke right out. I can't believe this. Surgery was October 22, 2014.

My other picture on my drivers license was from April of this year. I was huge.

Everyone who said it gets better was right. I still think I'm the same when I look in the mirror but wow , I know I'm changing for the better.

If you want to get your passport done quickly, I'd use Travel Visa Pro. Do their budget plan for like $39.00. When I went to Mexico 2 years ago, I never had a passport. They had me a passport, issued and everything in 72 hours.

I need to get my passport updated as well and I'm thinking just like you. The cost of the actual passport is $170.00 Yikes.

My picture is cute (I've always photographed skinny in the face), but the weight on my ID is actually within sight now. I'm surprised no one called me out for having 200 lbs as my weight when I was over 300 when the ID was issued!

My license picture is from when I was 21 and probably 80 or 90 lbs lighter. Actually went to purchase cigarettes one day after being asked for my id the man said this is you?? What happened in 4 years how'd you get so big? Hopefully in the not so distant future I won't have to worry about something like that again! I was mortified.

Sorry for my rant! But the sincerest of congratulations to you!

I'll never understand how some people lose their sense of humanity and compassion by their inability to suppress what they think inside to what they say out loud.

No matter how many times it's been done to me over the years, I would never ever think of belittling someone with the power of my words, the way that clerk did with you, simply because I can.

No matter how thin I may get, whenever I have my surgery, I hope I never ever forget what it feels like to be fat. I think it instills in us a sense of decency and compassion that a lot of "born beautiful" people may never possess the gift of having.

I am the type of person who cannot stand people that belittle others. I don't forget. I get even. *evil smile*

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
