Fat is Exhaled!

Recommended Posts

According to a new yahoo article;

The body stores the excess Protein or carbs in a person's diet in form of fat, specifically, as triglyceride moleclues, which consist of just three kinds of atoms: carbon, hydrogen and oxygen.

In order to "burn" fat these triglycerides must break up into building blocks, which happens in a process known as oxidation. And the chemical process of burning that fat will produce carbon dioxide and Water, Therefore 84 percent of the fat that is lost turns into carbon dioxide and leaves the body through the lungs the balance is water and, well you know how we eliminate water. ;)

I just found this to be interesting is all...

You can read the entire artilcle here...

Fascinating. This explains how I am going to the bathroom often and more liquid is going out then what I drink.

Also explains the two pound temporary "weight loss" after an hour of cardio when I'm sweating and huffing and puffing. Actually weigh two pounds less right after the workout than right before the workout on the same scale. FASCINATING!

They will have to come up with more information than that to convince me...I'm pretty sure I was breathing correctly in the last 40 years that I spent with 125 pounds of fat clinging to me for dear life...

so if I exhale more than I inhale... :) :) :)

It does seem kind of weird. But I'm not expert :) It's intriguing.

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
