62race 14 Posted December 17, 2014 I've been lurking and occasionally posting but I've learned so much in the last couple of months from everyone here. So, thank you for that. I've been moving swiftly along through the Kaiser Fremont program. I had my first meeting on November 11th, then a more formal meeting with my doctors referral on the 25th of November. Decided to move forward and had my first one on one with surgeon and NUT on December 4th. Lost five more pounds (13 since my dreadful PCP appt in October which got the ball rolling on thinking about WLS), had my psych visit and EKG today and now on wait list for surgery! Fremont Kaiser has been great. Can't say enough good things about everyone I've dealt with. The ball is in their court and I need to be at 218 by surgery. Just another five pounds. With their guidance and support I know I can do it! The surgeon needs to review my file and he says he will do it soon! I hope that's sooner rather than later because I am ready to start this new chapter!
Elode 8,093 Posted December 17, 2014 Good luck! Hope the wait is short!

62race 14 Posted December 18, 2014 Can I ask you how long it took you to get surgery scheduled once you were done with requirements?

62race 14 Posted January 3, 2015 Annie, your surgery is coming up soon, right? Looking forward to hearing about your experience with Kaiser and Dr. Hahn. If you are willing to share, of course. Good luck!
