Babbs 14,681 Posted December 16, 2014 Are you still losing? Then you're doing GREAT! Don't compare your weight loss to anybody else's, it does nothing but bring on self loathing and negatively. I should know. I am a slow loser, but as long as I'm still losing, I'm a happy camper You're doing just fine!

Babbs 14,681 Posted December 16, 2014 @@Babbs I think iam but its like a few pounds... A few pounds a week? A month? You're weight will fluctuate as each month goes by. Are you tracking calories, Proteins, carbs, exercising and getting your Water in?

BaseballMamma 17 Posted December 16, 2014 I had surgery Oct 20th. As of today I have lost 34 lbs. My Dr says I am losing faster than he expected, and that it depends a lot on what your original weight was as to how quick you will lose it. You can't compare your weight loss amount to someone that weighs 100 lbs more than you do. Each individual is different. I think a misconception about surgery is that weight will just fall off.. you will continue to lose it over time, and as long as the scale moves, then it's a success Besides, if you lose it super quick , you may be left with loose skin. I prefer mine goes slow and easy

wildGoose 207 Posted December 16, 2014 my team says 10-12 lbs a month. sounds like you might want to consider weighing 1x a week. also, do you have a good digital scale?
finediva 979 Posted December 16, 2014 I'm 5 months out in two days. I've averaged 10 pounds a month. You have averaged 15 pounds a month. Why are you not pleased with that? What number are you looking for? You will not just wake up at goal. This is alot of work and as you stay committed to the process the weight will come off. I lost zero weight in October. I was frustrated and angry, but there was nothing I could do about it, but wait it out. Be happy about your great loss and try to be at peace with the process, even when it's not going the way you want it to. Best.
Galaxy Girl 68 Posted December 17, 2014 I am 31/2 months post op and lost about 35lbs. As@@BaseballMamma, losing super quick leaves you with a lost of excess skin. You are doing great. Keep up the good work! Also, gastric sleeve patients lose slower than gastric bypass.
