happymama2014 206 Posted December 16, 2014 Six weeks out- down 35 lbs. 50 since starting the program. Amazing to me how little food has control over me now. I grabbed a chunk of chicken to eat tonight because I was out running errands. Few hours later I had a Mandarin for a treat. I used to plan to go get food and looked forward to food now it's just necessity. Eat enough Protein and drink my fluids. No issues with drinking Water no sipping needed. Happy girl. Food used to rule part of my life. Not anymore.

Zzzombrie 86 Posted December 23, 2014 I can't wait for that feeling. I've got a little bit of that on pre-op but I still catch myself thinking about junk. Neuropathways change after surgery to rely less on food as a pleasure source. Hypothetically, this should be a common side effect of wls. If brain scans were part of the before and after treatment, we'd know for sure.
