Which brand are you currently using?

I've tried both the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury and the CVS brand whey Protein mixed with soy milk. I've allowed to have lean Protein and veggies through Saturday, so I'm making do without the shakes while traveling for Christmas, but I'm going to have to figure out a strategy before I get put on full liquids post op.

I'm excited, though! Best Christmas present we could give ourselves, right?

Not sure why that cut off my reply... I've also tried CVS brand and mixed them with soy milk. I'm ok for he rest of this week as I'm allowed lean Protein and veggies, but I'll have to figure something out before I get to full liquids post op.

Why was your surgery postponed? I just started my pre op diet today. I did fine all day but then around 7 pm I felt nauseated and had a terrible headache. I'm not sure if its from the diet or not.

Scheduling error nbd. It's just a few days. But I'm ready to get this done. The headache and nausea went away for me on day 4 btw :0)

Getting a cold! Coughing, little sinus drainage and slight sore throat. Praying it goes away and doesn't affect my surgery! I have tried to stay away from everyone so I wouldn't catch anything, .... just my luck!!!!! Send up some prayers!

Day 11 of my ALL liquid diet! The weekend was tough with the family eating pizza! I almost gave in! But I didn't. This week I feel more hungry than last week. Maybe I've used up all my liver fat stores? Lost 12.5 lbs, so that helps. Only 4 more days! I only have to make through Christmas dinner with my chocolate mint Protein shake and chicken broth and I'll be good. I have not had any nausea or headaches thank God, but I get super cranky when I don't have my Protein Shake on time! I'm starting to get excited!

Merry Christmas everyone!

(Knock on wood) If I can't have the surgery next week, I have to wait until March when my husband picks up vacation! He's on holiday next week. Will be praying for us both!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
