dmaddox1 15 Posted December 15, 2014 My surgery is finally here. I am excited and scared all at the same time. I am so sick of being on the pre-op liquid diet that I am actually looking forward to the surgery. I know I still have 2 more weeks of liquid dieting...but hopefully I won't feel like my stomach is trying to eat me alive from the inside out! hehe! I think I have read every post good and bad on here and I feel I am doing the right thing. I have lots of support from my family and friends. And I want to thank all my bariatricpals for helping me get thru the last few months. I will be posting as soon as I get home. Thanks all!

leanora27801 315 Posted December 17, 2014 Dmaddox1, I hope your surgery went great! I also had mine yesterday, and I'm home now! They only need me to stay overnight. The pain is manageable and I'm on broth and Jello till Thursday!
waterlily22 15 Posted December 20, 2014 Hi everyone, how are you all doing? I hope you are all doing well, and that no one has had a serious problems. I had my surgery on the 15th also. I haven't had much pain, but have had a lot of nausea, For me the nausea bothers me more than pain would. Right now all the liquids I have tried taste terrible. They tasted fine before surgery, so I am hopeful that they will taste better soon. Other than that I feel better than I expected.

waterlily22 15 Posted December 21, 2014 Hi Leanora27801, Glad to hear you are doing well! I know what you mean, sometimes I have zero pain and sometimes there is a lot. I agree with you it helps that we know it will get better soon, and it isn't permanent!
