Buttercupbrown 70 Posted December 11, 2014 How long do you wait before having a Tummy Tuck?
joatsaint 2,814 Posted December 11, 2014 From all the threads I've read, most people say wait at least 1 year post-op. After 1 year, your skin has had time to shrink quite a bit and your most likely not having dramatic weight loss anymore.

IcanMakeit 1,318 Posted December 11, 2014 I've already consulted with a plastic surgeon. Her advice was to wait until my weight has been stable for 3 months.
Miss Mac 6,262 Posted December 11, 2014 If I want my insurance to pay for it, I have to wait two years and there has to be an underling infection or serious rash under hanging-over skin (pannis) that has to hang a certain amount over the pubus. In addition to that requirement, my insurance will only pay for a panniculectomy (skin flap) but not Tummy Tuck (tightening up muscles).
