I can zip my boots all the way up and even have room to spare. May seem like a small thing to some, but it reassures me that this was the right decision for ME!!

Congratulations! Feels so good, doesn't it?!

Same thing happened to me on Saturday. I actually put on a pair of my Daughter's regular size shaft boots and they zipped with no problem!

My Daughter noticed about 5 minutes later and said, "Hey, wait a minute! Are those MY Boots?!" I said - YEP, get used to it! The days of her stealing all my stuff and me not being able to steal any of hers are coming close to an end!

::evil laugh::

Congratulations!

I had a similar NSV! We wear purple on Wednesdays at work as part of an internal networking group that promotes women in science and technology. I have this purple dress in a size 14 petite that I could not zip up. But I gave it a try yesterday and that puppy zipped right up with no problem and a little room to spare!! All day people were telling me that I look thinner. Felt great.

We seem to be on the same track! Band sistahs! :-)

ive had these boots a while and just couldn't get them zipped it aggravated me so much. Once I wore them I got online and ordered another pair in black!! ????

I love having someone on same schedule as me! My friends listen, but they just don't get it cause they've never been overweight.

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
