Breakthrough acid on Protonix

I've been on Protonix since I was in the hospital, but this morning I started having breakthrough acid. Maybe longer and that's why I thought I was getting hungry, but it was definitely recognizable this morning. I topped off with some Tums so it didn't get too bad, but I'm curious to know whether anyone had better luck with other PPI's (and which ones). My intake wasn't unusual this morning - 8 ounces of Premier Protein and roughly 8 ounces of Decaf tea.

Omeprozol has been working fine for me. I am less than two weeks away from my one year....still take one every morning when i get up.
