StabMyFinger 19 Posted December 9, 2014 I have decided to delay my surgery till April. I have a busy winter and am going on a cruise the end of March, so after a lot of thought, I am delaying. The nurse told me to call her when I'm ready and she will submit my paperwork. She said its only good for a 30 day approval. This way I will be able to give my full attention to me. anaxila 501 Posted December 10, 2014 Good for you. I made a similar decision a year ago, when I decided that having surgery while I was both working full-time and going to school full-time was really really dumb. I graduated on 12/6, and now I'm having surgery on 1/6. I hate that I lost a year, but am so grateful I didn't try to do those things all at the same time. bellalulu 87 Posted December 10, 2014 You both did the right thing. You have to be one hundred percent mentally ready and emotionally ready when we go through such a life changing event. I for one am waiting just so I can save and pay the 25 percentage of the surgery. My insurance only covers 75 percent. Either way I'm still doing the last few appts. but am still afraid... eventually I will muster up the courage.
