OMG I can't wait. My band is a little too tight, so I've been on a liquid/mushy diet all month. This has been BAD because it's so easy to get too many calories this way. I've gained a couple of pounds, but that's OK. It's going to come off, and take some friends with it. I'm determined!

How are you guys feeling today?

I am a little confused, if your band is to tight when you're only on liquids/mushy foods, why would you gain weight.

@@Ldimples - Mushy foods are generally higher in calories and carbohydrates. E.g. If you're eating mashed potatoes, you're not going to lose weight like you would if you were eating fish and chicken. Now if you stick Protein shakes and sugar free Jello, then you'll keep losing.

Getting my second fill this week...hoping to get in the green zone soon. Will be 2 months post op next week and weight is at a stand still. No complaints though. I'm feeling great and staying active. Glad to hear you're doing good.

Way to go recognizing red zone -- I had to have a teeny unfill at one point. This is the upside of the adjustable LapBand -- we can get it where it's right for us individually.

He took out .5ccs yesterday. He wasn't pleased that ALL solid meats got stuck, and he had me describe the feeling. Umm .. "Ow" just doesn't cover it. The good news is, I didn't gain anything. I also didn't loose anything. So now, I'm hoping that I'm back in the green zone and can get back on target. :D

Also .. I'm feeling GREAT today! Interestingly enough, having saline taken out feels NOTHING like having it put in. My tummy actually GROWLED at him after he took that tiny bit of Fluid out. LOL!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
