You haven't gained that much. Baby weight gain is a pretty normal thing...many women gain more like 30, not 10 so it seems you have done well.

I guess like most of us you would need to take some sort of action to get back to the 145. I don't really know where you are post op, but in general, going back to basics like eating Protein first, not snacking, avoiding eating late, etc etc are the ways to knock off 10 pounds.

I currently weigh 155, still under my goal, but i too want to get back to 145. I am holding steady right now, but come January I plan to tackle it by modifying my eating and exercise.

Right there with you, I was 141 on my first Doctor visit when I found out i was pregnant. When I had my c-section i was 167 pounds. Two years later I am at 147 and struggling bad!! I know i will never fit in a size 2-4 again and i find myself wearing yoga pants, t-shirts and pet ins shoes everyday. I hat to dress up and really don't like buying and shopping for new clothes. I also had my tubes tied at the same time can this affect you from not losing weight? I mostly have skin in my belly muffin top area and I can pull my skin over my boobs. It is so frustrating and makes me ill and i really want it removed but that is not an option because of money issues. Considering i had surgery July 2010 and lost close to 200 pounds i shouldn't complain but it us so hard not to. Here are a few pictures of my journey. post-225076-14247549266324_thumb.jpg post-225076-14247549516086_thumb.jpg post-225076-14247549627405_thumb.jpg post-225076-14247549809624_thumb.jpg post-225076-14247549943657_thumb.jpg post-225076-1424755011959_thumb.jpg

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
