jcgrove29 0 Posted August 22, 2007 J. I love the cycling gansta bitches comment. I wish I would have read your posts before I went. There were 4 other people sitting at the table when I got there. I sat by and across from two people I don't even know. There was no way for my sister to even speak to me based on the noise level and the seating arrangements. No one offered to shuffle around either. My sis offers me half her salad! What the hell happened to Soup? I declined. When the waitress returned, everyone else had already ordered by the way, I ordered an unsweet tea. She brought me sweet tea, I had my first pure sugar rush for the year. I asked what the soup of the day was "we don't have any soup today" I said "just bring me cottage cheese with fruit please" she returned with cottage cheese only "we are out of fruit and I could not find any applesauce either, would you like something else?" I replied silverware please. She brought me a fork. Everywhere I looked I saw sloppy joes, spaghetti and hamburgers. The need for self-control may be my reality after my upcoming surgery, I was an OAK! I don't know how many more times I can be this strong, so I calmly eplained my point of view to my sis. She said she respects that view and we can meet outside of a diner type setting from now on. I literally feel as if my head is going to explode! I feel as if I have almost busted my teeth out of my jaw from clenching. I don't ever remember feeling pressurized like this, ever. I hope with a strenuous enough workout, that this pressure will leave me. JC
babygrl1234 6 Posted August 23, 2007 JC first off the black bean burgers that D posted are divine. Probably one of the most delicious things I have ever tasted. I did not feel like i was eating healthy diet food.< /p> Secondly do you like sweets? The following is something that I am eating right now and it is to die for. Put all this in a blender and blend 3 ice cubes 2 teaspoons of sugar free powder vanilla Creamer dissolved in 1 ounce warm Water 5 ounces of light vanilla soy milk 2/3 cup frozen blueberries (or strawberries) 1 ounce sugar free strawberry Syrup (davinci or hersheys if you can find it) 3 packets of splenda (you might not even need this) top with fat free reddi whip Holy crap it is so delicious. Tastes like it belongs at a smoothie shop or something. I am in heaven. The best part is it is only like 120 calories. You could probably add Unjury or some other unflavored Protein Powder to up the Protein.< /p>

mbsbike2002 0 Posted August 23, 2007 JC - Congratulations on making it through lunch, eating on your own terms (such as it was), and making your point of view clear to your sister. Today, I am glad that I am banded. Grumpy has been a little sick the past few days, some nausea, but nothing major. We took her to the vet, and long story short, the vet (not our normal one) injured her, and now she's much sicker... I'm so pissed off. A week ago, I would have eaten a whole shit-pot of food. Tonight, though, i was only able to have a quarter cup of sugr-free Jello. J, can I call in the cycling gangsa bitches to rain down some righteous fury upon this smug-assed, newly gradutated, not knowing my dogs ass from a hole in the ground vet? OH Juli 15 Posted August 23, 2007 The Cycling Gangsta Bitches' are at your beck and call. Sorry to know your pooch isn't 100%. That's rough. JC- You are amazing. But you know that. You get props though for not turning the table over on the crowd ala the Incrdible Hulk. We'd be calling you Bruce, if you did. You get props for recognizing the frustration with your sister to manipulate you, gulit you and hashing it out with her to a good resolution. All that and not a bunch of calories you have to work off. Fantastic. Enough about you, now about me. Today all the teachers came back to school and we had a big opening of school thingy. You would have thought I grew a second head and a tail with all the attention I got. I have to say, I wore my favorite new pants and a clingy T with my hair down..you know looking extra cute, but I was surprised at the amount of the response about my weight loss. Some people were discreet, some jackasses looked at me and were like, "You lost weight." What do you say to that? "No shit"? Really, I said, "been trying". My favorite one, because it's so accurate, is the phys ed teacher who has helped me create my strength training rountine said, "You've been working HARD!" Damn right I've been working hard. And I busted ass in the fitness center today. I'm determined to get up to a half hour on the stair master. Bitch ass thing just kills me.

JennJenn92 0 Posted August 23, 2007 Thanks for the warm welcome! Yes, this a fast paced thread, but I'll get used to it. My story. Hmmm....I am just begining my documentation, but might have enough for my insurance, we'll see. I've known BG for about, 6 years, IRL so I might slip up and call her Stacy, wow seems like longer! Right now I am not currently biking, but I used to in healthier days and as soon as my butt will fit on a seat I'm sure I'll join her! I'm just enjoying my food and inactivity for the time being. Personaly, I am married and have 3 kids who have the ability to drive me crazy at times. I've known BG's DH for about, crap, since he was 15 and I hired him! Sooo....BG owes me her happiness....errr....her messy house!!!!! Sorry honey! I heart you!!! I heard an advertisement for lap band a little while before she told me she was having surgery and was thinking about it in a dreamy sort of way when she divulged that our insurance covers it! So, I decided she could be the guinnae (sp) pig. Wow, BG I am inspired by you. I am an overly honest, mushy person who wears her heart on her sleve and tends to be crapped upon sometimes. Some of my "friends" don't get why I can't just "stop eating" and "get some exercise." Why I have to "do something so drastic." I'm sure you have all heard it before. I just have to say, it's my life, if you want to know why I can't do those things just yet, here, live my life, have my hubby, my kids, my job, my stress! It could possibly be that when I have no choice and have to "stop eating" and I have to "get some exercise" I will. I will make it a priority, and I know that my "real" friends, like Stacy, will be there for me! Okay, I'll get off my soapbox now!

jcgrove29 0 Posted August 23, 2007 D, cool deal you are blazing a trail! JJ, you will find there is no shortage of support and if neccesary some ass kicking too! Couch 2 5k is great I have always wanted to be able to get out and jog for distance 2 miles was my best distance when I was a teenager. I got to 3 miles in three or 4 weeks on that program. I have to admit that I did the program everyday instead of 3 times a week. Gotta get on the stationary shooting for an hour this morning, God, I am such a slacker sometimes, but I will try to do better, you guys help to keep me driven. JC
