I have the best insurance company, ever.

Really, they are on the ball and I've got a huge hanging messy stomach which needs to be removed. It's hard to deny the truth in the nakkit picutes of me they sent.

Hi everyone! I know I have kind of disappeared for a few months..sorry... I missed you all! School this semester kicked my butt! I have been insanely busy, but the good news is, school is out for 4 weeks and I am looking forward to a normal not so busy life for a month!

So, there are a ton of pages to catch up on, just give me the skinny....lol how is everyone doing?? How was everyone's Thanksgiving? This is the first thanksgiving in my history of life that I actually lost weight instead of gained!!

Talk to you all soon!

I am ready for spring

We were sick over thanksgiving, but are all well now.

Glad to see you made it through school and the holidays...

take care and Merry Christmas to you and your family

Hey Traci,

Sorry to hear you were sick over turkey day...I think I am starting to get a sinus infection now..its going around work. I have been so insanely busy I haven't had much time to ride..I miss it, especially since the weather down here is beautiful, things should start to slow down here next Monday, so hopefully we can get back in the groove.

How did your classes go this semester? I am glad mine are over...

Merry Christmas!

HELLO

classes was ok....I am taking the basic classes as I have late start in life at getting a degree. I am mainly doing it as a backup for myself in case I would ever need to change directions in my career.

I am only taking 2-3 classes a semester with working. Which is plenty

I wish I was in the state of sunshine so I could continue riding year round..LOL

Yea Julie, the weather around here is up and down, rain, snow, sleet ...yuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

hope everyone is having a nice week.....

Traci,

You are doing amazing to go back to school at your/our age.

One class at a time as you can get it done is better than no classes. Hold your head up high.

Yeah, it's rainy today. Blah.

I'm spinning tonight. Does that count as cycling?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
