Thanks. I just wrote a long ass response and it got deleted. I am too lazy to type it again.

The interview is at 4pm. I will be open to receiving all juju vibes at that time.

I have a new goal to quit swearing.

Wish me luck. I dropped the F bomb yesterday at work and was embarrassed. I thought I really need to clean up my language.

Just thought I share.

I think quitting swearing is harder than quitting smoking! I've completely given up smoking for three months now, and the swearing part is pretty good unless I get caught off guard and pissed off...might drop a few bombs then. But otherwise pretty well cleaned up. Stress is my profanity barometer and it's pretty darn accurate! (So I guess that means I don't have control when it really counts, huh? Well, damn it!)

Oh and I'm fond of saying "effed up" and "effing".

So I guess I'm not quite Mary Poppins yet!

It's not like the kids can hear you....

Yeah I know, that was in really poor taste. My apologies for my un pc-ness.

Turler the job is for the Director position at a teen health center. They offer low cost healthcare and counseling services to to teens and kids. They also have much prevention programming (drugs, violence, etc) done through the local schools. The job is right up my alley and finally my degree I worked so hard for would be put to good use.

You know that is true, they can't hear us so we swear like we don't work with children.

However I have a grouchy fella, who is always grumbling under his breath, stuff like, "GD kids always wanting to eat gonna get big as a effin' house." then he fills their plates one more time. He's actually really sweet and very shy. (He's 6'2'', black and 240 pounds). Anyway, one kid who has some brass balls, who could read lips call the man out on it. I actually had to write up this grown person for swearing at the Deaf school!

So be as un PC as you desire, BG. We are.

I've been successful in the past, not swearing; so much so that at one point other people got embarrassed swearing in front of me. (!) So I think I can get there again.

My dad is an immigrant, and his language has always been peppered with curse words. And he's pretty creative about it too. You just got to laugh.

Oh you crazy bitch. I don't know if I am going to get a workout in tonight. The roads are starting to get really bad but luckily it had just started to snow when I got into work. I parked my car in the middle of the structure so I will not have to clean it off later lol. I hope the snow quits this morning though so the drive home does not suck.

I was wondering about you and the snow this morning. It was icy here and they closed many of the schools, but it's supposed to get to 40 later so it will all melt away.

Alison is flying into Detroit this morning from Atlanta. Ick.

Yeah, I think it is. She flies so often I don't keep track of when she's coming and going.

But yeah, she flies out of Detroit often. There's an airport in Kalamazoo but it's like a hut on the end of a driveway. I really want her to get a job in Chicago.

Sigh.

I checked your weather, Detroit, Toledo etc. If the snow stops early enough, they should have the roads cleared for the drive. Tomorrow it's supposed to be above freezing as you drive south. I'm not telling Z you're coming until the morning when you know for sure. She'll be SOOOOOOO excited to see "Girl Michigan". That's how she defines you two. There's a frenemy boy at school who is from Michigan and boy michigans are bad. But girls are okay. She can't remember your names...

Would that be a size 12 bathing suit? I'm running to Target on my break today to see if they have them. Kohls had suits but I didn't want any of them. Walmart (which I hate) didn't have them yet.

Old Navy has their bikini's out. hehehe

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
