BG, you are doing sooo good. I can't wait to hit 100. I am thinking of getting a tatoo to Celebrate it.

The last time I did WW that was going to be my 200 pound mark reward, a tatto. soooooo, I guess maybe I will do it for this 200 pounds....Does anyone ask you guys how much more weight you are going to lose? My MIL asks me this continually, and it pisses me off. WHY does it matter? I am fat. I weigh 228.5 pounds.....It is not like I am a stick figure and am trying to lose more weight. What is up with the comment? I am going to blow a gasket some time in the near future...

Yes the manicotti.

I have people ask me all the time how much more. When I tell them about 50 pounds they say that there is no way I have that much left to lose. HA. They have not seen me naked.

People ask me how much I've lost and I say, "I don't share those numbers."

I tell them that I'm at a bit past 50% of what I want to lose.

I'm a bit cagey about discussing the particulars of my actual weight though so no one has asked how much more...and I'm far from looking normo.

Really, it'd be fun and awkward making if they asked how much more to ask them, "How much more do you think I need to lose?"...hehe, watch a person squirm.

So back on the job front. As you might know I declined that job and was going to stay with my current job. Well I was asked to reconsider my decision for a dollar more per hour....

Hey Baby,

Do you have a bike with gears or is it just one gear for everything. I know my parents went out and bought a bike from Walmart and they based their decision on Seat cushion size but gears are important. When you are biking you set the gear for speed that you are trying to maintain. I have put my bike on a very lightest gear possible when going up hills to the point I am just barely moving but I am getting the exercise and I don't have to do the walk of shame. ;) There is no reason to ever get off a bike solely because your legs are burning up. You should shift down and let them have a break. Then of course shift up when you are flying back down the hill.

J, well, when I say, about 75 pounds, people go through the roof!!!! But then again, they didn't know that I weighed over three hundred pounds, and I have no problem sharing that with them and THAT makes people squirm....they probably think I weigh more like 400 pounds, but they say, I can't believe you weighed that much. I feel like saying, yeah, your right. I am lying. Dumb dumbs.

BG, sooooooooooooooooooooooo now what are you going to do with the job offer?????? Make manicotti???

Here I am still at work, 14 hours, 6 cups of coffee later.

I have no idea. With the extra money and the insurance I would be saving about $7000 per year. It is kind of hard to refuse that.

That was random.

I was thinking the EXACT same thing...trying to find the link!

And on your MIL...THANK YOU! I am so sick of feeling like I have to defend my goal! I appreciate folks saying nice things about my progress, but it's not enough. Not enough for me, and it shouldn't be enough for anyone! We didn't have surgery to lose ten pounds, damn it! Hubby does not like skinny chicks, and he's so afraid I will get "too thin". My goal is well within the "normal" BMI range.

Just smack her the next time she asks! You know you want to! LOL

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
