HP - Those poor chickens... I've caught more than a few things on fire while cooking on the grill. Adds texture :) Those are great pics!

Haven't heard anything from JC in a while. Wonder if he had a hard time getting his keyboard cleaned up...

D - Hope your fill appt. went well, and that you're out riding your new bike!

Just got back from a 2 mile walk. Go to see the doc on Wednesday. Hopefully, I'll be able to ride the trainer after that...

BG, you are a freaking riot! I promise you here and now, I will snort/laugh many times when we are chatting in person. OMG.

HP, the middle picture you posted is really nice. You look great, good smile, hair's cool. Don't be so harsh on yourself.

Also, how do catch a chicken on fire? You're supposed to put the lighter Fluid on the charcoal, not the food.

Oh, I want some grilled food............It so not worth the effort for the few bites I get. OH, OH, OH...do you guys have pie irons and weinie sticks for camping??? Not that I can do much along those lines, but the kids...

I was talking with Alison last night about do we camp or do we hotel it...and she was like, what's the point of going if we are in a hotel. You want to hang with these people! She was so right! So the debate in my head is done. I only waffle when there's lots of time between committing and doing. Typically I'm such a last minute doer that never happens!

XO

I am alive did you ever get that thing warmed up! I read that and blew a ass gasket. My boss probably thinks I was smoking tea back there where I was.

HP, those are great pics. Don't be too Hardon yourself!

It's funny for the first 10 pages....

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
