Oh, how fun!!!!

I jogged another mile today...did it nonstop. It took 17 minutes....looking at those numbers, it doesn't seem very good.

HI ! your all rocking! Ok i am breaking down and buying a road bike this week. I just can't afford a Triathlon Bike. SO i cant decide between the Trek 1.2 or 1.5 aahhhh.

Such a debate. I want to go Trek because there a Wisconsin Company and someone needs to stimulate the local economy now that the Packers arent going to (I slipped that in there for BG)

So here is my fun story of the day...

So today after lunch one of my co-workers wanted me to try this risotto that her mother had made. Well I had tried the stuff before and liked it a lot, so I figured there was no harm in that. Plus I am too damn lazy to cook the stuff myself. Way too much attention needed from this girl who burns Pasta roni on a regular basis. Sorry, I digress. So she heats it up and another co-woker and myself try it. I liked it a lot and went in for another spoonful. I must have hallucinated in seeing the mushroom in there since it was actually a piece of beef. Well then the other co-worker says "that was not bad, aside from the liver". Overworked, underpaid employee say what??? Yeah, I ate me some liver today. I have been sick to my stomach since then. I could have lived my whole life not knowing that piece of something was actually a liver. But now that I know, it makes me sick.

Since everyone else seems to be missing this little gem of a posting, I must address it!

Let's see....the nearest local food store is just a bit over a mile from my house. No one, I repeat, no one else from my neighborhood EVER would dream of travelling there other than by car. In fact, I think that some folks need a wee nap after they drive to/from the grocery. They get the car out, start it, wait at the "busy" street to turn left, wait at the ONE stoplight between the neighborhood and the store parking lot, park and toddle into the store. I'd estimate that they (we) consume at least 15 minutes in the endeavor to DRIVE a mile.

I'd say that 17 minutes to RUN a mile is pretty damn awesome. Not if you are thinking you can step in if an olympic competitor pulls a hamstring or something and you're going to jet on over to China....but otherwise....hell ya! (oops, heck ya!)

As the desigated ol' lady in this conversation, I say "Give yourself some credit girl!" YOU ARE RUNNING!!! Without anyone chasing you for your purse....WAY TO GO!!!! :Banane37:

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
