TG- Yes, Cedar Point is in Ohio, on a lake! LOL Good memory! It's a great place...the best! I used to ride the coasters all the time, but got fat a few years ago and haven't been on them. I can't wait to be able to ride them again!

I just can't get over how many of us are in school! It's awesome!

D,

If I can spend too much time on here and get my learnin' in you can too!

Really this finance class burnt me out. My team is cleaning up a paper we thought was pretty nicely done, but alas the prof sent the draft back asking for changes.

Ugh.

I'm in school (for the newbies) in an undergrad/MBA combo program. I get my BS on the 17th -like in 9 days!-with honors! I have been taking graduate classes since January of 08, they fulfill undergrad obligations and go toward the MBA so it shaves time.

Anyway, I'll have the masters finished at the end of March. Yeah baby.

Then I'm going watch TV for 5000 hours. I miss TV. I'm going to sit on my butt and watch every episode of every show I've missed. Reruns too. I can't wait.

Man I am feeling left out. Maybe I should go back to school too =)

Oh and can I get a big HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! for my boys the Detroit Lions for beating the Giants last night. Yeah I know it is pre season but damn it feel good to beat the whiney baby Eli's precious team. Between that and Farve's geriatric ass going to the Jets it has already been a great season lol. Ohhhhh I feel the blood pumping, my favorite time of year is just about here.

hello!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has been a busy week for me with a few rides in the middle of all of it

We rode with a group from work Wednesday evening and than last nite our normal(well I wont call us normal) group rode in the nearby town

We had such a wonderful cool evening it was almost like fall........it was wonderful.....

Taking some advice from my mentors in biking and learning to pace myself at a good mph as to not wear out on the distances.....I kept wanting to go fassterrrrrrrr............but I would resist.

Kids go back to school Monday...not really ready for it...I like them being home...

Well..I am going to get off here and get to work

Have a wonderful weekend everyone

Wow, I can't believe school is already starting for some kids. MY friend in Arizona started her school year this week and your kids go next week. Mine do not start until Sept 2nd.

Zoe goes on the 20th.

So BG, what is this strange thing they call football? I just don't have a clue.

BTW, there is no way I'll be ready to run a 10K or ride a century by the end of September. Just sayin.

Well J the 10K is in October, not September =)

Football is where good looking men run around in tight pants mauling each other. I see where you might not be interested =)

The Century is September 28

The 10K is the next weekend.

Football = endless snacking and beer drinking and not much else as far as I know.

Men in tight shorts running around mauling each other interests me in no way, shape or form. And I am heterosexual. Hmmmm....its the whole, one man has the ball and is on the ground, why in the heck do all the other ones HAVE to jump on him????? Thats what I don't get. I just don't like football. I actually watched a few games last year, and I think I have it now. I didn't understand the rules or logistics of it, but I think I have it now. Its only taken 38 years.

HP, good to see you!!!!Glad you got some riding in and you are almost caught up to me...you sneaky thing you. Yesterday was DD bday so we didn't ride, and it is thunderstorms today!!! Dang it!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
