areellady 1 Posted July 14, 2008 heck yes, I love the frosting the best of all. Oh man, now that sounds delightful....cupcake frosting..... Not good enough to gain a pound or two, but it does sound scrumptious
areellady 1 Posted July 14, 2008 BG, wow, over 900 miles in, you must ride every night!!!! Way to go!!
OH Juli 15 Posted July 14, 2008 I like the "monkey on a cupcake" analogy. I think something like "an old man on a bowl ice-cream" might be accurate too. But I just went to a party where the median age had to be 70. A bunch of old cyclists who volunteered for that TOSRV ride I did in May were sitting around eating cake and ice-cream like nobody's business. Anyway, we got what you meant Whos. Bigb- What are you catching up on? Not this thread I hope? There's much fluff written here. Also a lot of good stuff, but golly I wouldn't wish reading this whole thread on anyone. Welcome to the madness.
babygrl1234 6 Posted July 14, 2008 I don't ride every night, I just ride far when I do ride.

OH Juli 15 Posted July 14, 2008 Frosting is the work of Satan. It's delicious work, but OMG I can't not eat it. I've taken to baking bread. Why on Earth do I need to bake bread? In July no less. There's something wrong in my head.
Turler 6 Posted July 14, 2008 Good Morning everyone! I'm back from vacation. It was wonderful! I ate plenty of 'bad-for-you' food, drank more than enough Starbucks (we don't have one where I live so I had to make up for it!), and drank many empty calories worth of alcohol! Shameful I know, but it was not just any old vacation...it was a vacation from rules too. We did however, hike a lot and walked everyday. I couldn't believe that I actually lost 2 pounds (despite the above mentioned) and my clothes are looser. What a bonus! Plan to ride today...miss it. I got to hike a trail on Long's Peak (my ultimate goal is to climb it--over 14,000 ft) and it gave me a very clear idea of how much training I need to do!! OMG! We stayed at my family's house which is located at around 8,000 ft. I am always impressed at the cyclists that can climb that mountain and are still breathing! It's incredible to see them ride. Juli...made me think of you. You and your love of hills! LOL I see you all have been very busy! D and HP...WOW! You girls are getting in some serious miles. Nice! ~Carol

OH Juli 15 Posted July 14, 2008 C Good going on the weight loss during vacation. That's always a challenge. You mean to say Bowling Green has Starbucks but Flag City, USA doesn't? That's just so funny. I can think of 8 of them within 3 miles of my house...I just went to Starbucks.com and entered my zip code there are 10 within 3 miles of my house. That's some craziness. No wonder they have to close some stores and lay people off. Glad you had fun.
Turler 6 Posted July 14, 2008 J- When I heard they were gonna close some 600 Starbucks I almost cried!!! I've hoped and prayed for one to come here for so long...and then they even told us we were gonna get one this year sometime! I don't know whether we'll get one now or not. Probably not. We don't even have a Target! But hey, we got 2 Walmart Super Centers! Arrrrggggghhhhh! ~C
