If there was contest of the girl with the most bikes, you would win, hands down.

I love her, very pretty.

I keep thinking about a new bike for next year, but plastic surgery is going to take all my spare $$$. A new road bike will have to be on my 2010 list.

Awesome job on getting a great deal!

J- When are you thinking of getting PS? Do you have your own criteria to meet or a specific weight?

I am so tired and stressed. This weekend on call has been kicking my butt. I can't tell if my fill is doing anything or not because my schedule has been so screwy. I'm thinking I'm not as hungry though, but maybe I'm just so tired I don't care! LOL

My own criteria I think. For insurance I need to be at my "goal" weight for 6 months and I need to have issues where it interferes with my quality of life. I've been documenting those with my PCP. I'm probably going to call my goal weight 145 for insurance's requirements, but really I think I want to see 130. I figure I've got ten pounds of skin on me that will go....

I want to be at goal by the end of 08, so I can sit and wait til the summer of 09 and get surgery just after I graduate with my MBA in Aug/Spet of 09. Then I want to leave my job.....hehehehe

J

Who decides your goal weight? This is one area I don't feel that I've been given much direction in. I have my own goals:

1) weight I could LIVE with

2) weight I want to be

3) DREAM weight

I have no idea what my doctor is hoping for! Last time I asked, he said, "well lets just wait and see how you do"

I am alreading dreaming of PS. The thought of being put back together again is wonderful. I've been a wreck since my daughter was born.

I'm kind of where your doctor is....

Wait and see. I've not weighed 130 since I was 12 years old. Hell, I've not weighed 193 since I was 17, but I was a size 20 then. Now I'm a size 16. The way the fat/skin sits etc has me wondering what the future holds.

If at 150 I'm a size 10, I'll be consulting the PS then. My LB surgeon tells me I'm a bit premature in wanting a consult just yet, but he'll hook me up with some of his favorites when it's time.

I've had a PS for a breast reduction and all I know is that I DONT want to see her. She was fine, but I feel like my results could have been better.

thanks J...but we actually went and got this bike for Leslee by 17 year old so she could ride with us. I bought it with the intent of getting to use it when she does not ride it. We took her out this afternoon, and I think it is love at first site for her with the bike. She has clipless on it, but platforms on the other side until we get her some shoes. I think she will do well.

J you have to remember, we have 5 people in the house, and John had an OLD bike last year. So we dont have allot of bikes, just enough now for all of us to use and ride.

I still want the trek 2.1 that I rode......eventually I will get it.....

I am excited for you and your PS.

You have come so far

So.....the goregous bike is now Leslee's

I would have to say that I get the prize for the most bikes bought in one year.

Now, we started out with three K-Mart bikes. Schwinns. One for me, DD and DH.

DH and I then got sport comfort bikes from the LBS.

Now we have five new bikes.

Then DH and I get two road bikes.

Now we have seven bikes.

Then this year we get two mountain bikes.

Now we have nine bikes.

Then we get DD a mountain bike. A Trek WSD 4300, purple and pearl. She LOVES it.

Then we get DD a road bike. A Trek 1000 WSD. She LOVES it.

We took one of the K-Mart bikes back after getting the sport comfies.

We sold two of the K-Mart bikes to the neighbor for $50. WOW, what a bargain!!!! We are such nice neighbors:lol:

We are going to sell the sport comfies because we just don't use them anymore, they were great to start biking with, but not so good for us now. So, when we sell those, which by the way are not even a year old yet, we will be down five bikes from the start of this whole bike adventure. Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo,

I win the most bikes in a year prize:tt2::thumbs_up::tt2::thumbup::tt2::tongue::tt2::tongue::tt2::tongue::tt2::party::tt2:

Oh and we have a one car garage with eight bikes in it and my car....what a bunch of hillbillies we are, I am thinking of selling the car, but then I wonder how I would get groceries home....

HP, LOVE LOVE LOVE the new bike...

The other day we were at Home Depot and we had taken out bikes. Well, at the check out I ask the lady for a double bag because we are on our bikes and she thinks I am talking about motorcycles...It was sooooo funny, she starts telling us all about her bike and asks if we ride a lot....my DH is like "oh, yeah, we ride a lot".....We laughed all the way out the store.

Landscaping?

Isn't that when you pay the nice fellas to cut your yard, edge everything and maybe trim some shrubs?

I mow the grass and that's about the extent of my landscaping.

Maybe in a different life when I don't have other things I'd like to do like watch paint dry or have my toenails removed with plyers.

You all are killing me.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
