D,

I know what you mean about setting goals.

My ticker is set a bit lower than what I'll call my offical goal, because I'm going to need PS to see that number, I think. I'm putting 145 as my stability number so I can get the stomach ass removed more quickly. I have to maintain my weight for 6 months for insurance to pay...

Has anyone else on here thought about PS?

J - Congratulations on the run. That's awesome!!!

It is cool that Stephanie and I live within 50 miles - we need to find a time/place to meet soon. And as soon as I'm not a danger to self and others on the new bike, I'd like to ride some with her to get ready for the MS150 in May. I think it's even cooler that we grew up within a few blocks of each other, and at different times, even lived on the same (short) street.

I might consider PS - it depends entirely on how much excess skin is left on the tummy. If there's too much, i'll look at a TT. That's the one thing that put me off about losing too much weight - I may have been fat, but my skin "fit". Stupid reason to stay fat, though...

We have our pot luck today - fuck me. I've been good so far - avoided the donuts, although I did pick one up. I just threw it away on the way out the door to the break room. I'm just gonna leave at lunch time and go buy bike toys...

Have a good day folks!

J - Yeah, I remember BG's story going flying off the bike, but I thought you went down in your front yard not too long ago? Tripped over something? Maybe I'm "mis-remembering"!

Took me a sec to figure out what PS was...DUH me! I have been thinking about it lately, but for purely vain reasons. Losing the weight is making my tummy all puckered, but not enough that insurance would ever even consider it, and it may still recover enough. But I'm looking into a mini-tuck and a boob job. Trying to find cost info, but it is being elusive thus far.

And now hubby just texted me that he is considering another position with another company! ARGH! I hate it when my apple cart gets upset! (I'm SUCH a true Taurus.) I don't have all the info yet, though. He makes insane money with great benefits, but he was gone 261 days last year working offshore. Money is not worth it, to be certain. I'm anxious to hear what this is all about. I don't do anxious well. Crap.

Sorry about the dealing with potential change. It rattles me as well. The off shore work has got to be nuts. Wow 261 that leaves him only at home 100 days ish. That's rough on a person I'm sure.

Have we covered this? What do you do for employment? Are you a SAHM?

I think you might be remembering wrong...I don't have much of a front yard to tumble into. My front steps hit the sidewalk, then theres a strip of grass then the brick street. It's an old neighborhood. The back yard is deep for the area about 75 feet but I can't recall flying...That's not to say it didn't happen, because I could easily be forgetting. I'm like that!

I'm in food hell. There are Cookies up to my elbows and I have to go and pick up 13 dozen donuts for our X-mas pagent tonight. We are having a surprise bridal shower for a friend for which I made the cake and I've got cupcakes to take to the kiddo's school party tomorrow.

I don't think I've eaten a vegetable in week. They just get stuck and I'm not down with magic bulleting them like I need to.

This shit sucks.

Just saying.

Thanks, J...yeah, it's pretty hard with him gone all the time...he's my best friend of almost 25 years. But I get into a pattern with life in general and deal with it. Now the thought of that getting all twisted with the unknown of a new company, that's tough. The oil business is so volatile and he's in a good place now...dunno about taking a chance on this new opportunity. But it is his decision....he has to do the work and choose what will make him happy day in and day out since he is at it so much. I told him I'll just smile and be supportive, and then chew my nails off when he's not looking!

Basically, I guess I am a SAHM. I actually flip houses, but I quit for the year back in August and still have two yet to sell, so I am not interested in taking on another project for a while. I do almost all of the work myself and it is hard work. I rehabbed four houses this year...I think that is enough for one body.

Yep, it sounds like I am confused again! LOL I must be thinking of someone else going flying in their front yard.

Audit hell started for me today. I was, I am not shitting you, copying nutrition lables on a photocopy machine. How the hell do you copy a lable off of a gallon of salsa? You stick the bottle on the machine and hit "copy".

The freaking salad bar has 20 lables in and of itself.

Did that. Worked out like a dog. Jumped rope for 5 heart in my throat, I want to fall over, belly smacking my thighs, glad I workout only around Deaf people, minutes.

Got home, fell down in my yard, skinned my knee and my palm, rolled around saying "fuck" thirty times.

Called my GF and cried big ol' snotty sobs on the phone.

Found some hydrocodone that's 3 years old, but took one anyway.

Had/have a presentation for class I sould be doing right now but the "elumination" platform server at school is booting me off. Gonna have to do that tomorrow night, with the kid bothering me.

Not feeling too bad because my old drugs are working...but tomorrow is going to suck because of the pain, finishing the audit, writing a 6 page paper, and now doing the presentation.

UGH. Good thing today started with 218 on the scale.< /p>

I FOUND IT! I'M NOT CRAZY AFTER ALL! (Well, at least regarding this one instance...)

J - you are in complete food hell... Cookie dough, cake batter, and Icing are some of my favorite things to eat. It would be so hard to have to be around those things for my job. I am in awe that you can work with food and still be extremely successful with your weight loss. You must be one very disciplined chica.

I didn't make it out the door to buy the bike toys. I should have. I wouldn't feel nearly as guilty spending several thousand $$ on toys as I do eating the Christmas lunch crap... I can see why people become bulimic.... It would suck for a few minutes, but I would feel soo much better....

I must be thinking of someone else going flying in their front yard.

Give me some time.... Gravity is very strong in me, and grace is not one of my strong suits. My wife, to this day, cannot believe that I didn't fall or otherwise hurt myself for the first six months we were dating...

YES! After seeing Puddin's pics on the before/after thread I'm totally going for the LBL! (lower body lift) She started at a size 28 (Like me!) and is now a 6!!

J - ARGH! I hate it when my apple cart gets upset! (I'm SUCH a true Taurus.)

YOu too huh?? Lots of changes at my work and I'm having sooo much trouble coping cause, as a Taurus, I don't adjust well to change!!

OMG. So, Food Hell isn;t just in Kansas City this week huh?? Everyfuckingwhere I turn this week someone else has brought in cookies or candies or cake or donuts. I live in flour/sugar hell.

Have any of you heard of or read the book Skinny Bitch? Verrrry fascinating. Of course, I take it with a grain of salt cause it's written by 2 Vegans... but still...

Oh my...I didn't realize it was a wound. I'm so sorry!

On the flipping...I didn't know "jack" until I started with my first house. I have a handyman who taught me so much! He is such a perfectionist, like me, and is the ONLY person I will allow to work on my personal home. I learned so much this year. Actually, I hate to call him a handyman...he's a remodeling GOD!

You know BG, you could live closer. And really on mapquest we're less than 200 from each other. :)

If I lived any closer I would be in Ohio and that WOULD be tragic.

I bleed Maize and Blue.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
