Yeah, after rethinking what you said about the gravity issue, the toe cages are no answer anyhow. I have Speedplay Light Action Chrome-Moly Blacks. Let me tell ya what it says on the back of the box...it's what sold me.

Combines the most user-friendly characteristics found in Speedplay's popular X and Zero road pedals into an advanced hybrid-pedal technology desighned specifically for the recreational cyclist.

Dubbed "Light Action" for its unique low-force, high-security latch mechanism, the system provides the easiest, most intuitive entry and release functions ever offered in a clipless pedal system.

Blends the legendary ease-of-entry and luxurious non-centering free-float of Speedplay's X Pedal System together with the robust spring design and enhanced durability of Speedplay's Zero Pedal System.

The same cutting-edge performance benefits that have made Speedplay Pedal Systems famous, including:

Dual-sided pedal means no flipping, no fumbling, no looking down to engage.

Self-locating cleat guides the entry motion and makes finding the pedal easier.

15 degrees of non-centering free-float increases comfort by reducing stress on the knees.

Large, stable cleat platform for optimal power transmission and all-day comfort.

True-locking engagement mechanism provides security and prevents inadvertenet release.

Precision cartridge and needle bearings for reduced friction and longer life.

Built-in grease-port for fast and easy bearing maintenance.

I love them!

MMmmmm.... Lollipop (pedal) baby, here I come... I get hot for a pedal that can use the word "luxurious" in the description :)... If I go with the chrome-molys, I can get yellow pedals to match the bike.

I'm gonna head up to REI in a while; they have road shoes on sale.

Yep, they have screamin' yellow! Even have hot pink, if you were so inclined! LOL

Better to match the bike. :)

There's nothing more hot than a coordinated cyclist...I have a penchant for icy blue and silver.

Hard to look all manly in the full spandex kit with pretty pink pedals. Other than that, they're golden.

I just looked at performance bike and they carry them in black & pink. Might end up going with the black if I can't find yellow.

Thanks TX, I will give them a ring.

And, for after I'm no longer quite so large -

I think the irony is a little too much for now...

RBM and Plano Cycling only have black.

Bicycles Inc does have one pair, and they're going to hold them for me! I'll swing by there tomorrow afternoon to pick them up.

Thanks Stephanie!!

I love fun jerseys. I'm so glad that I'm getting small enough to wear them now.

This is also on the list -

Reminds me of when I was a kid, I'd ride to the 7-11 on Pipeline and Hurstview and get a moon pie and an RC.

At the end of the day, I bet I end up spending more on jerseys than bikes :)

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
