Has anyone taken up Bycyling?

I know, right? I can't really imagine riding without a helmet now. Well, at least riding along fast. It is hard to do sometimes when you are just strolling around the block as you have since you were 4 in a state that has no helmet law. I do need to get better about that though.

Ya'll are crazy. BGs bike crash story made my morning. :0) I'm sure once I get my bike in the Spring I will have a story or two for you. Oy. I haven't been on a bike since I was about 12... so damn near 19 years now!! (Have I mentioned that I have getting older? I hate telling stories about where something happened 10-20 years ago. Ugh)

OK. I needto shower and start baking. I'll stalk ya'll later!

The burnt chickens are great. What the hell is going on in that pic, anyhow? Did HP just come back to check on them and they were all a-flame?

By the way, I just saved that pic to my computer. I'll use it next summer when I'm sending out BBQ invitations to the house!

Yeah, I think so - there was another picture of her standing in front of them, the grill blazing away in the background, with a WTF look.

Lol. BG. YOu like Hannah Montana?

OK guys. I managed to bake my coconut cake today... only to take it out of the oven, and then I had to open the cabinet above the stove and a bottle of cream of coconut fell out - right into the effing cake!!! I was so mad! So... I tried to peice the cake back together as much as possible, then I just made the topping extra fluffy (1 box coconut pudding mix, 1 cup milk, and a whole bowl of cool whip) and topped it. Then I sprinkled the toasted coconut on top - you can't even tell there was a big hole in it. Ugh.

Baking Cookies now. I started to do this earlier, but put baking powder instead of baking soda in... Its been one error after another today!

AND, for you Southerners who are sadly missing out on the snow and ice that I have here in KC, I give you pictures! (I hope this works...)

I better get one of those BBQ invites! :)

Absolutely! I'll invite everyone on this thread if they wanna get here! LOL What a trip that would be! I'd love it! We will all be smokin' hot bitches and beaus by then, hangin' by the pool wearing bikinis (not the guys, please!) and me seeing if I can burn whole chickens as good as HP!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
