You need to shorten that. We don't allow for anything over two letters. ZZ or SZ or create your own....

As for a bike let me tell you that the biggest problem you'll have is under buying a bike. Ask HP or D. You say oh, I'm only going to ride 10 or 15 miles and you spend $300 on a regular/hybrid bike. Later, like a few weeks, you'll wish you saved that 300 and put a bit more with it to get a road bike.

Really, honest and truly, unless you plan on riding on dirt, don't get a hybrid and go straight for the road bike. Don't let the skinny tires scare you. They make for a smooth ride. I was a good 260# on a road bike and it was fine.

As for fit, what B said, your bike will tell you when it feels good. Test ride at least 4 and go at least 10 minutes on each...the LBS expects you to ride. And don't worry about being chubby with all the sporty folks working there. They love biking more than they care about your weight and they'll talk your ear off.

We heart biking and getting fit. Welcome to the craziness.

So right!

I bought a $250 Schwinn Hybrid from Target and wish to God I had done my homework better and put that money towards a real road bike! I thought a bike was a bike was a bike...boy, was I ever wrong!

Aw, y'all know what that is! You just never heard it called that before! I didn't know it had its' own "sign" untill last week when I was volunteering at the high school. The fact that I hear about that in the school is disturbing, I know.

You know I work at a deaf school full of sign language, and I've never seen that one.

Now I'm going to have to ask the youngest deaf person on my staff if that sign translates into ASL.

You sick ass bitches

L.D. Bell is one of the biggest high schools in Texas. Last year, the Senior Sponsor (A FEMALE TEACHER, NO LESS), approved this to go on the front of the graduating senior class t-shirts, ordered them and they were distributed before the adults became aware of what it truly meant. I don't know what the students told the sponsor it was to pull that over on her. Needless to say, it was then banned from from being worn at school and all school functions.

Go big blue!

You can say THAT again! It's mortifying that it happened, but still gives a chuckle.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
