J I am just teasing lol. Yes I did go to U of M. Yesterdays Lions game was physically and emotionally draining for me even though we won. I think I am just now getting back to being myself. I tend to change into crazy man mode on Sundays during football season. DH wants to take videos to prove it to his friends. I jump around and scream and have temper tantrums. My children may be scarred from it.

HP thanks =). Lots of people say I look like a teenager so maybe I act like one too hehe.

Had a blood draw at the surgeon's this morning. They are so slow there. Just take my blood and let me get on with things. I didn't even want to see the doc. I'm doing good.

I've got my TO DO lists made for the week. It's going to be busy for me as well....good thing I'm under employed at work. I can get things done for my real life as I sit here getting paid.

BTW, chicken is the food of the DEVIL. I've not been able to eat it for a full month! My restriction is loosening so I'm trying it again. ACK, not working! I am thrilled to be eating veggies again though! Woo Hoo!

BG you are just a big o' kid, hanging out with the old people this weekend. Can't wait to meet cha.

That's for all of you. JC and HP. D and B, wish you were coming as well. :) But we'll get it together one day, I'm sure.

Hi Gang!

Looks like everybody had a great weekend. WooHoo HP!!! Sounds like a great ride, and great pics, too!

J - Wish I could be there, too! I agree, though, we'll all have another chance to get together again.

The wife, the dog, and I walked in the 3.5 mile American Heart Assoc Start! walk in downtown Dallas on Saturday. It was fun, except that I walked on pavement in my trail shoes, so my legs hurt like a mofo... There were ~25,000 people walking, so the dog had a wide variety of folks to sniff...

Spent the rest of the weekend getting ready for school, which starts on Wednesday. While you guys are peddaling the highways and byways of Indiana, I'll be getting started on the joyously exciting topics of managerial accounting and managerial finance. Yippee effing tah...

JC - Glad you got the truck back - and just in time for the big trip!

Hope everyone has a great day!

B

First of all how do you write, "babe magnet"

Babe-Magnet or Babe Magnet? Hyphen or no? I need an answer quickly. I've printed all but the dude's shirts.

Secondly, I'm not prepared to eat at the camp ground. I am going to a restaurant. Sorry, HP.

Even if I were home the idea of a huge ride, then showering then cooking in a decent kitchen wouldn't appeal to me. Eating camp food is even less appealing. I'm going to be hungry and if the food is tough or burnt or gross I'll be more pissy than BG when Michigan loses.

I appreciate the idea of being cheap, but those cost savings are happening for me by camping and not staying at a hotel. However, we don't need to do EVERYTHING together. If it's a burden to eat out we'll just go seperately.

And B-

I have my finance final on Thursday! I can't wait! Holy crap it's been a long 6 weeks. I'm going into it with an A, but it's worth 300 points. I could lose a lot! And probably will!

This school and work stuff is nuts.

Congrats on the 4 pound loss btw.

I know it's coming off slowly and you don't feel much restriction but you are losing! Woo Hoo!

Off to the gym.

Yeah HP!!!!!!! Awesome job on the 4 lbs.

Good job on the walk B!

I don't care how or where I eat. I am however bringing ground bologna. That stuff is scared and a must for all camping trips. Yeah it sounds gross but it is delightful. I am even willing to share hehe.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
