Has anyone taken up Bycyling?

I want to ride a bike, but I fear that none will support 360 pounds. Can someone recommend one that wouldn't cost a small fortune?

WORKMAN has a TRIKE that supports 550 lbs. ??? Check it out to see if you are interested in it:

Aren't we a bunch of grouchy Guses?!

Yesterday was my day to be "Eh" about everything. Class was not compelling. My study-pal was sick and hacking and snorking for the 3 hours we sat there. Poor thing, but if I get sick I'm going to scream!

However, we do have a final-test study date planned.

Alison and I found a few days to meet in Toledo next weekend. :) I found a 23 mile ride too, map and all that we're going to do on Saturday as well. That alieveates a bunch of stress...we've not seen each other since vacation and I get a little pissy/whiney/aggravated when I go more than month with out seeing her. It will be 5 weeks, not 6 and that is infinately better. And as much as I'm looking forward to Septemeber 22 bike ride with yous guys, I'd much rather see her for a day or two alone, before, than with a group of people I've yet to meet, with my 6 year old in tow, and sleeping in a crowded tent.

I've discoverd I can eat toast in the morning. I don't think that's a good thing. Wheat with a little peanut butter....one piece. or is that okay? Any opinions?

Rambling-J

Better than white toast. I don't think one piece is bad as long as thats all you have you know? I feel like the point of the band is to help us eat like a normal person and normal people eat toast for Breakfast sometimes.

And glad you guys are getting some alone time before the trip. I was in Toledo on Monday at the zoo. After being lost there for about 15 minutes I came to the conclusion that they have the largest speed bumps in the world there.

I dont think a piece of toast is bad, and BG is right, we need to modify what we eat and eat normal.

Of course that does not mean a chicken bucket (TRACI) No I didn't but I did have 2 pieces of bad chicken.....I am not loosing and it is my fault...not working out, not watching what i am eating, being stressed, and BLAH!!!!

HAVE TO STOP the self destruction, it is killing me...

J..so glad you are getting some alone time..wooohooo...

Now dont you be doing anything naughty!!!! :)")

If it makes you feel any better all this toast talk made me have a piece just now lol.

HP normal people eat chicken from the bucket too. But not every day and not the whole bucket. You are fine. Get back on the wagon and don't forget that not losing is far greater than gaining.

B, sorry about the candy corn. I love it too!!!! This is my way of having it and not having it....LOL. I was just thinking last night that this time last year, DH would go to the store almost every night and get a couple bags of Reeses mini Peanut Butter cups. I would eat a whole bag sitting watching tv. Hmmmm, guess thats why I weighed 300 pounds:guess

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
