JC you are a beast!

I really miss working out in the morning but when you start work at 5am you have to make some sacrifices. Once I join the gym in October it won't be so bad because I will just swing by there after work and then get little miss thang from school afterward.

8 miles in 30 minutes! Not a bad start.

BG, I am going to try that plan you posted. We'll see how it works out. Now, if I can just get myself out to the High School to do some "stadiums"!

UGH. I remember having to do that shit in high school for softball conditioning. I hate stairs.

I made the most delicious frozen coffee drink this morning. Light vanilla soymilk, coffee, sugar free vanilla Creamer, davinci sugar free vanilla Syrup, ice....yummmmmmy. Now I just need to get some of the sugar free peppermint syrup so I can try out my replacement for the Tim Hortons chocolate mint iced capp that I causing so many issues for me. I jsut say those words and start to drool.

I hate stairs too, but I remember how much they did for me at football practice. Yesterday was our third day in a row of record breaking heat!

I have never heard of such a thing as that ice coffee.< /p>

Ahhh. Well that makes sense. They are the Dunkin Donuts of Canada. In the past few years they have started spreading to the US. Seeing as I am in Detroit there are a million of them around here. Plus a lot of them share a building with Wendy's including the one DH works at. And they are a billion times better than Dunkin Donuts. At least the coffee definitly is. They might have some in Indiana so maybe you will see one then =)

If I see one I will have to check it out. I have been to Detroit once, on my way to Roanoke Va. What a trip I got off a jumbo jet and on to a twin engine "crop Duster" type plane. I will never forget that trip.

BG, I will have to tell the whole story when I get up there, it was pretty funny.

J,HP, How are you guys doing? I heard a national weather report that said there was some severe weather up there.

BG did you guys get any of those storms?

Not yet but there is a huge band heading this way that will probably hit in the next few hours. We got tons of rain the past few days. Like several inches. Lots of flooding but no real storms.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
