mbsbike2002 0 Posted August 19, 2007 B, you better save your energy, we have you on the countdown clock. SIX weeks and we get to take potshots at you if you don't get enough exercise or if we feel the intensity level just isn't there! lol Bring it on boy and girls!!! For now, plan is to walk 1 mile or so each day for this coming week, 2 miles or so each day for the following week, then combination of waliking and indoor bike trainer for the remainder of my enforced off-bike time. I will be well behind the pace of eveyone by the time I get back on a bike, but hopefully I'll catch up soon. B

babygrl1234 6 Posted August 19, 2007 D i am way jealous of the new road bike. HP that is a cute pup. JC glad the tea is helping B glad you are getting up and moving around. J I am so glad you play euchre lol. Zoe will have so much fun in Kindergarten. Luckily the school I put Korrine in had full time Kindergarten so she went all day long. Jared will start next year and I will be worry free about the day care. I don't mind shelling out the $35 a week per child to make sure they are accounted for from 6am to 5:30pm. I do mind the $120 a week for 3 days that i used to have to pay.

OH Juli 15 Posted August 19, 2007 I'm heading out for a ride. The sun has come out. It might rain later so I'm hitting the neighborhood trail. I slept throught the start time of the group ride this morning. I went to see STARDUST last night. It was cute, but eh. Anyway, it was after midnight when I got home. I rarely see midnight in public these days. Catch you all when I get back in! Oh, I was able to eat two eggs over easy and a piece of toast this morning! It took a full 30 minutes, but it went down and stayed down. Woo Hoo. J
mbsbike2002 0 Posted August 19, 2007 Seriously, D? It's been almost 12 hours now... Need details, pictures, etc., etc., etc... HP - That is a cutie!!! Just a soft little ball of fur with some legs! BG - Thanks! Made it about 1.8 miles on the walk this morning. Such an over-achiever!! J - Have a great ride. Very jealous of the eggs and toast - glad you got to have some good breakfast! jcgrove29 0 Posted August 19, 2007 This should be the last work day for John's Eagle project. I will have some awesome before and after photos from that. This means Starting Tuesday I will be posting some bicycle related numbers. I couldn't help but notice that we have added 10 pages in the last three days. OH Juli 15 Posted August 19, 2007 JC What's your point? We talk too much? I got RAINED on during my ride so it was only 14 miles and somewhere around 12 mph. Oh well, it's better than nothing, B You'll be eating soon enough. Really as soon as you can start eating you will and you'll be wishing for the days when mushies worked to keep you full. Good job on the walk though. Talk it slowly, but the more the better, in my opinion. Yeah JC, I was wondering about your lack of cycling. Did you set it aside when you started recovering from the slippage/incident? (Don't know what you called what happened.) If you're going to do the 40 mile ride with us in IN you have 4 weeks to get it together. I have no doubts in your abilities...just saying. On that note, chicas, I've only done 33 miles tops in a ride. Now that I look at it I thinks it's funny I'm asking what are we going to do in the afternoon after the ride. WE'LL BE RECOVERING! HA! hoosierpoms 0 Posted August 19, 2007 j...UGHHHH, I have only done 20..so you are wayyyyyy ahead of me dear!! All I can say is I am going to be poooopppped... I hope we all will do it. It will be diffrent for my husband and I, becuase we are use to tackling all the rolling hills, and I think this is allot of straight stretches... Ok, I went to target last night, and they have cycling stuff on clearance. I talked my DH into cycling shorts and shirts. They were $5...... I even got me a sleevless shirt similar to my bike shirt in a 2x.....yes, never have bought that size....recently in the past 6 years at least... My shirt size in April was a 30. OK....now onto the camping... Cedarville is located about 38.6 miles from Chain O Lakes state park. They offer a wide range of actvities, and state parks are well kept with clean shower houses, etc. There are a few private campgrounds as well, but they are located the same distance away... Here is the link to the campground.... take a look at it. Let me know what you guys are thinking?? My DH and I can go primitive if need be because you can ride into the modern campground and shower...but there are plenty of spots still available. You can call and reserve or do online(which i do) State Parks & Reservoirs let me know, and when I get back from my ride and the grocery I will get back on and see what everyone wants to do
OH Juli 15 Posted August 19, 2007 I looked at the site, looks like site numbers 306, 304, and 289 would work. (I'm guessing we'll get three sites.) JC is sharing with BG... Let me know if this works and I'll reserve one of them. J
