BG,

I see my future in your posts. She is just becoming aware of non cartoon shows. I know it will happen full force before the end of the school year. We don't have many older friends, most are her age or younger.

That's cool about your mom, but what do you and your man do for fun?(Keep it clean). Great shopping too. We didn't spend a whole lot this year on clothing because I bought twice in the summer. The beginning summer clothes are too small too tight. So she's got plenty of Tshirts. I'll wait a few weeks for the pants... too much detail...sorry.

D,

I don't have the stomach issue you talked about or if I do I attribute it to something like my period. But now that I've got a fill all bets are off on how I react to stuff.

I just ate some watery cream of wheat, or more like milk slightly thickened with cream of wheat. It was so delicious.

My biggest problem is that i like the stuff she watches....I am a total closet Hannah Montana fan. As are most of my friends lol.

DH and I work opposite shifts a lot of the time so we don't see each other too much. He spends most of his time playing World of Warcraft which I cannot stand. He spends hours and hours playing it. When we do spend time together we just talk or watch movies. We enjoy each others company we just don't really have any hobbies to share.

ok....d....my stomach does that sometimes, and it is usually in the afternoon on my way home from work. i get so ill to my stomach, and ooo....well...I read it was lack of water...I DONT THINK SO....i drink plenty of that....

??? Not sure

We have a pop up camper and we just need to figure out how many campsites we need, and when we all book them get them around one another...

That is going to be sooooooooooo much fun.......I have been excited ALL day.

BG...if your mom ends up going and ends up wanting to watch the kids, let me know and we will not bring Leslee. She was excited until I said we were camping...LOL But she said she would still do it just for me...AAAAHHH

I will proably bring my 13 year old daughter, and she is pretty self suffiecient and will sleep all day if we let her.

JC...love the dog....we have a black lab named Reggie, and I raise Pomeranians. We have a black male and an orange sable female. I am getting a new one here shortly.

I also have a ragdoll cat..and a domestic cat.

D....I wish I had the money to send to you so you could fly here. We could even get a bike for you to use I am sure....")

well, I am going to look at campgrounds check in later

ok..

need to know if we want to go with electric or not? There are plenty of non electric sites available, and limited electric. If we deciede on this campground, we need to get reservations in as soon as possible.

There is a campground in Ft. Wayne, called Johnny appleseed..BUT no reservations are allowed. it is first come first serve...not a good idea i think.

I will keep looking...

Oh wow, you all are BUSY!!

HP, nice new avatar. You are looking hot as ever!!! I thank you for you well wishing of money my way. I do appreciate the good thoughts. We will end up getting together I as quite sure of it.

JC, glad dog is doing good and at your house. WOW, ex wives and ex gf's...what a rotten day huh?

J, you sound like such a fun mom. I don't know if I could handle the pizza place. I would be wanting to eat!!! I know the restriction is great at first, but after about a week, there is none again. Do you have the VG band? They put in 3 cc my first time and I loved that feeling of not being hungry. Not even head hunger. I just wish there was a way we could give it to ourselves, safely of course. Like a push button for moriphine.

It would be like this.....oh, going out tonight, better fill up the band so I don't over eat. .....(next morning) after being sober, let some out now.

BG, sounds like your already for school now. You and your little miss sunshine shirt. Cute movie!!

B, hope you are feeling better with some hydration in you.

Oh OH OHHHHHH, I saw some hydration pills today. Anyone know anything about them? I think the main ingredient was sodium chloride, not sure what else, but I was thinking that might be something to look into.

SlackAction, your riding will get easier and easier. Take your time and work with it. You are doing a great thing for yourself.

JC - Sorry to hear that Buddy injured his hip, but glad to hear he's doing well, and that he's with his daddy. When Grumpy is sick. all she wants in the world is to curl up in my lap (pisses the wife off, but I'm more like a big pillow than her)....

D - Thanks! I am doing better. Got a couple of liters in by mouth yesterday, plus the liter IV from Thursday, and I almost feel human again. I wish I were better at the whole "rest and recover" thing - I've been puttering around the house and being a computer dork since Wednesday. I think it's going to prolong the whole recovery period. Today, after a walk in the park with the wife and dog, I'm going to force myself to plant my ass on the couch and rest - how's that for an exercise goal???

I have been using the Nuun hydration tablets for a while. They have the appropriate mix of sodium, potassium, and Calcium to ensure you have the proper electrolyte balance. They're great for hydrating when it's hot out, and I found that they stop leg cramps almost instantly. I don't think it's been mentioned here before, but Pickle Juice is also great for hydration and leg cramp relief. There are a few companies that sell plain, bottled pickle juice (Welcome to Picklejuicesport.com!) no relation to them, except that they are based in Big D and sponsor a lot of local rides...

Oh D that is a cute movie but that's not the little miss sunshine on the shirt. When I was a kid there were these book out that all had themes and taught little lessons. They were called Mr. Mr. and Little MIss books. Little Miss Sunshine, Mr. Messy, Little Miss Bossy, things like that. And I count things by my surgery day too.

I will find out about my Mom. She is not too fond of tenting seeing as her and my father have this ginormous fifth wheel that is larger than my house. But I will ask her. Oh and I would prefer electric.

JC my parents have a yellow lab named Buddy. I am glad your Buddy is resting up and doing well. And that the tea you smoked mellowed you out

=)

B I am glad you are keeping yourself hydrated. You will be out and about soon enough.

Hellow my cycling pals.

I got out today for a group ride that started at 7:30. I rode 28.5 miles in just under 2 hours. Why my average speed registered 14.5 mph!!! I love that on fitday.com 14.0 mph kicks you up to a new range of exercise...do any of you folks use fitday?

I'm going out again tomorrow morning. ;)

I know my band will hold 4 ccs. I don't know what kind of band it is...I guess I should know that.

I too think of things in relation to March 8th. Soon, I'll be at my 6 months out...I also think in terms of the first of the year, because that is when I quit fucking around with eating poorly. I ran out of excuses/saw a nutritionist/had insurance approval...So I have two major dates I think of.

I could be a more fun mom, but it's true because my daughter isn't with me half the time I have to caution myself against entertaining her all the time when I do have her. I know other single parents who go nuts trying to clean house and do all the shopping when they don't have their kids so they can be 100% engaged when they do have them. That lasted about a month for me! Little Miss (which I do call her, LOL-BG) needs to see how the real world works.

HP-

I'd prefer electric. What's the going rate for baby sitting in your world? I pay $5 an hour. If BG pays the same, Leslee would be getting $10/hour. Is that even motivational these days?

B, S, JC- Good to see you all present and accounted for. Slack, are you anywhere close to Indiana?

J

What ?!

And you have a 7 year old? You what they say?

"It's about damn time!"

Actually, that pretty lucky. Did/Do your kids do preschool or day care? I wish that wasn't what we've had to do for Zoe, but it's not the worse thing either...Well it's great when you have good teachers and it sucks when you have some freaking psycho. The pnly psycho we had was when we took her to someone's house. She was so mean. That lasted 8 weeks.

Homework, must do h o m e w o r k....don't wanna!!!!!!

hello everyone...well, I had to get on here at my oldest daughters house because I was having withdrawl!!!!!!!!

That would be fine for the babysitting, it is whatever you guys want to do.....

She doesnt care....just wished we were going to a hotel...LOL

We need to get our reservations in if we want electric at Chain O lakes State Park.

If you guys go on a get a idea of the campsites in the electric, and lets see what is open, and we can all reserve them. We will need to pay for them ahead of time in order to reserve them....if not, we can wait and see if I can find some private campgrounds. I have never been to that area of Indiana, so am a little unfamiliar.I dont feel that it would be smart to not know for sure if we have a spot, there are several that are first come first serve?????

I got in a 16.1 mile ride today up and down some rolling hills...and I only walked a little on one because someone was weed eating and thrw a branch out and smacked the piss out of my face...UGHHHHHHH

BUTTTTTT

I was so glad to get through the hills. I even got my big butt of the seat and that helped allot...cant imagine how it would feel on a road bike

Anyway...got to run to the store with the girls to get some stuff for school....

I will check back in this evening when I get home

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
