Midtown girl 44 Posted December 7, 2014 Those of you from Canada...what did you tell the custom officer at the Border? Like when they ask you what is the purpose of your trip? I am flying fro Toronto and crossing over to Mexico from San Diego, I was just wondering if I have tell them Or do I just make up a story?
Dreamingofhealth 223 Posted December 7, 2014 I'm in Canada and didn't have to travel out of country to have surgery. But my advice if they ask is to say it's for surgery. People do it ALL the time. No reason to lie, they don't care. Safe travels and good luck on a speedy recovery! ! Sheena :-)
bdcsail 72 Posted December 7, 2014 I am Canadian also from the GTA and had surgery in Mexico. Most clinics will send a driver and they don't even ask to see you passport at the US to Mexico border. On the way home we did declare why we had been there and that we were bring narcotics bad. There was no issue. Going to the USA I wasn't asked so I didn't tell.
