Laser Hair Removal

Recommended Posts

Okay, it is a weird consequence of being super morbidly obese, skin stretched, then plastic surgery to remove excess skin... that my pubic hair zone is larger than it should be. I ignored it for a long time. Recently, I started shaving to make a more "normal sized" pubic zone and I get the horrible bumps. so, I did a consult for laser hair removal. Turns out they will charge me the same price - i get to choose how much they remove. I know I want them to make the triangle smaller, clean up the edge on my upper thighs too. What I am undecided about is if I should go for making it quite small... landing strip. That is very popular right now, but i am not sure. What would you do?

I prefer to be completely hair free & smooth. I say have them remove it all! Just my two cents :-)

How about trying getting waxed first. That way you can try out different shapes or a Brazilian before you have to commit. See what you like.

I am pretty sure they will NOT laser on "internal" skin so there is a limit. I am thinking going to a small area. BTW, my pubic hair is not dense... took me awhile to figure out that because the hair covered skin was stretched that the hair density is low. Weird.

I've had Brazilian laser treatments. It was pretty "IN". Lol. Google it.

I prefer it trimmed on top and waxed along the bikini line and then brazilian style everywhere else. I don't like the bald look, so I actually have a decent nicely shaped triangle down there, rather than the landing strip.

Huh?

Sorry. Late Friday brain fried humor attempt.

If I Googled this at work, I'd either get unwanted attention from the IT network monitoring group, or maybe a date. Or both.

I'm an old so the current craze for hairlessness has gone right over my head. However, neatness appeals to me. I vote go for the triangle.

I like the idea of trying different variations of hairless ness or patterns of hair through waxing and see what appeals to you most. Just for reference they can do a complete Brazilian with laser hair removal. Most Aestheticians will get pretty up close and personal if that is what you want.

Ohhh lol! Sorry I didn't get it at first. I say go for both! ( now I'm joking)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
