Celebrating our victories

Recommended Posts

I recently celebrated a huge victory! My stomach (around the belly button) went from 63 inches down to 34 inches!!! Almost 30 inches lost. Holy moly! !!!

That is unfathomable. Even better my waist (my skinny part) is 31 inches, from 56 inches. So crazy! !! Measure those inches they matter!!

Sw 333 pounds, size 24

Cw- 174 pounds, size 12/14 canadian/10 american

Height 5'6"

Shout out your victories!

I'm exercising so much easier! I have lost 50 lbs with 50 to go, but what a difference 60 lbs makes on the joints! I am going 4.0 on the treadmill and I could barely do 3.0 a year ago! I'm amazed at how much easier it is to walk, hike, bike! Very happy!

SW: 263

CW: 213

I need to buy a tape measure to see my inches melt away!

I am actually running, yes running intervals on the treadmill for 20-40 mins!!and this is the set it & forget it program because the treadmill picks how long & how fast the intervals will be.

I have lost 56 pounds, I am thinking I would like to go for another 40, more likely after another 30 I will be close to where I want to be forever.

I am totally loving going to the gym & lifting weights.

I love, love this 2nd chance at life, and being a healthier me, wife & mother.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
